Brooke Shields paired her glamorous gown with bright yellow Crocs for the 77th Tony Awards in New York City.
The actress and model. 59, made sure to showcase her iconic footwear by lifting up her dress up a few inches for the sea of photographers gathered before heading into the David H. Koch Theater for the ceremony.
‘I got my Crocs! I couldn’t do this in heels!’ Shields told People while striking another pose on the red carpet.
More known as beachwear than for a high-end fashion event like the Tony Awards, Shields actually didn’t have much of a choice in wearing the classic, perforated clogs that retail for around $50.
The star had to have surgery on both of her feet in recent days, which she documented with an Instagram post on Friday – days before the ceremony.

The mother of two also made sure to highlight her bright and sunny gown that came complete with a plunging sequin top, waistline bow in the front, and pleated skirt.
There’s also a center-slit in the back of the unique number to help open up the garment and give a little tease of her long legs.
The top portion hugged her fab figure, while embellishing her assets, before opening up from the waist on down to her Crocs.
She accessorized with a small gold clutch, several bracelets on her left wrist and pearl earrings.
Rounding out her overall look, the New York City native had her dark brown locks styled long, straight and flowing down her back with a part in the middle.
On Friday, two days before the event, Shields shared a photo of her feet in braces while laying in the backseat of a car.
‘The feet pics are about to level up… Double foot toe surgery,’ she revealed to her 2.1 million Instagram fans and followers in the caption.
This appears to be a longtime problem for Shields who previously had surgery on her feet twice before, according to a report on Flickr.

The Pretty Baby star said she had ‘double foot toe surgery, which appears to be the third time she has had to have an operation since the 1980s, according to a report on Flickr
The former child star also made sure to highlight her bright and sunny gown that came complete with a plunging sequin top, waistline bow in the front, pleated skirt, and a center-slit in the back, which she accessorized with a gold clutch, several bracelets and pearl earrings
She reportedly had bunion and hammertoe surgery during her 20s in the 1980s and again in 2008 when she was in her 40s.
The Pretty Baby star has appeared on Broadway several times during her successful career, including when she played Ruth Sherwood in Wonderful Town, Roxie Hart in Chicago, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Rizzo in Grease, and Morticia Addams in the musical The Addams Family.
Looking forward, Shields still has the love of the theater stage in her and would love to star in a comedy-drama production, which she said with a smile and laugh.
‘I’m usually a replacement,’ she confessed, before adding, ‘So, that’s exciting for me. If there’s somebody that wins the Tony and they leave the show, that’s a huge honor. So, anywhere they want me!’
The Tony Awards are airing live from Lincoln Center in New York City, with Ariana DeBose serving as the host for the third time in a row.
