Harry Styles has unveiled plans for a £30million super-mansion by knocking two homes into one – and turning it into the ultimate playboy party pad.

The pop superstar – who has reportedly split from actress girlfriend Taylor Russell – is restoring a former 18th century mansion back to its former glory with a modern makeover that has an entire floor devoted to guests.

Styles, who turned 30 in February, wants to add a whole new storey for himself featuring a huge master bedroom, master bathroom, four dressing areas, his own lounge and an indoor patio.

The spectacular plans include a new basement cinema and playroom, a plunge pool, steam room, sauna and gym on the lower ground floor.

And there will be plenty of rooms for entertaining on the ground floor including a large TV room, gallery and new conservatory.

The floor devoted to friends appears to have been designed with VIP showbiz pals in mind.

It includes a master guest bedroom, master guest bathroom and guest living area – along with three more bedrooms and four extra bathrooms.

The four acre property is set in leafy Hampstead, north London which is home to billionaires, Hollywood actors and a host of other A-list celebrities.

It was divided up into two semi-detached homes in the 1950’s and subject to ‘inappropriate’ poorly built extensions in the 1970s which are said to have ‘compromised the architectural interest of the building and its setting’.

The former One Direction singer bought the larger property for £8.8 million in April 2019 after it had originally gone on the market the previous year for £10 million.

The white stucco, Grade II-listed property, features panelled doors and original fanlights. There is also a garage and private outside parking.

At sale it was decorated in a faux Regency style, with chandeliers, ornate cornicing and curtain swags at the windows. The grand sitting room, which leads into a dining room, boasts floor-to-ceiling windows.

A curved staircase leads to the first-floor bedrooms, while there is a screening room and games room in the basement.

He went on to snap up the smaller adjoining house, which is also Grade II-listed for £4.175million seven months later.

Styles – who is estimated to be worth £175million – graced the front cover of Better Homes and Gardens to launch his 2020 album, Harry’s House – which soared straight to the top of the charts in the UK, US and in countries around the world.

But it took more than five years to get his own house in order as he finally submitted a detailed planning application for his Grand-Designs style renovation.

Proposals also include the building of a garden terrace and landscaping along with the construction of a security hut at the entrance to help boost the star’s privacy.

Solar panels and heat pumps will be installed to ensure its green credentials.

If the plans are given the go ahead, documents show it would take more than two years to complete the makeover with building works taking place from 1am to 5pm on weekdays.

Styles plans to demolish mid to late 20th Century extensions and partitions and a staircase within one of the properties, which lie in a designated conservation area.

According to planning documents, the proposals show a ‘reinstatement’ of the top floor of the property which had been removed in the 1950’s leaving the building ‘truncated in its classical form and appearance’.

One document said: ‘The proposed reinstatement of the floor therefore offers the opportunity to substantially enhance the architectural appearance of the building.’

It adds: ‘The proposed return of the building to one single dwelling reinstates the circumstance which existed for over two hundred years and which represents the historical development and design intentions of the original house and its various phases of extension – to provide a country house for families of a high social status and wealth on the edge of Hampstead Heath.’

In a design statement, Styles’ planning agent said: ‘The proposed development involves the conversion of the two houses back into one larger house.

‘The exterior and interior of the properties will be refurbished and the historic second floor will be reinstated.

‘Understanding and respecting the site’s historical importance, while also comprehending the client’s expectations and vision, are the key to the design proposals.’

In a further statement, they added: ‘Overall, the proposals are considered to sustain and enhance an appreciation and understanding of the historic and architectural interest of the Grade II listed houses, and the character and appearance of the conservation area.

‘The scheme will undoubtedly create a dwelling of the highest quality and befitting of the significance of one of the most prominent Hampstead homes.’

Officials at the Council are expected to make a decision on Styles’ plans next month (July 19) and there have so far been no formal objections from neighbours.

Contractors insist all construction work will be carried out ‘in a neighbourly fashion’ with ‘any impact in terms of amenity and traffic being limited and controlled as far as is practicable’.

Before the plans were unveiled neighbours were invited to meet members of the project team at three evening meetings held in March.

Since launching to fame on the X factor in 2010, Styles has been linked with a series of glamorous women from Taylor Swift to Kendall Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, French model Camille Rowe and Olivia Wilde.

Tragedy came in 2020, when his former girlfriend and The X-Factor host, Caroline Flack, committed suicide.

Friends of Harry – who was 14 years Caroline’s junior, and just 17 when the pair briefly dated in 2011 – said he had been devastated by their breakup.

He began dating Canadian actress Taylor Russell in June 2023 but the couple reportedly split last month following a ‘make or break’ holiday.

Taylor appeared at the star-studded New York Met Gala without Harry, who remained on the other side of the Atlantic in London.

Friends have since claimed the couple opted to end the relationship after spending time together in the far east.

Since launching to fame Styles has undertaken a series of lavish property makeovers.

In 2012, when he was just 18, he bought his first property for £3.1 million also in Hampstead.

It later became known as ‘Harry’s Bar’ due to the impromptu parties he held there for pals, and is now believed to be worth £4.3million,

In 2016, he expanded his portfolio by buying a lavish four-bedroom home in the Hollywood Hills that also boasted a spa, cinema, gym and ocean views, for £5.3 million.

He put it on the market in May 2017 for £6.5 million but after struggling to sell it for two years, he sold it for £4.8 million in 2019.

And in May 2017, he splashed out £6.9 million on a three-bedroom loft apartment in the Manhattan district of Tribeca where fellow singer Justin Timberlake also has a home.
