‘s beloved blue heeler, Bluey, will be featured in a new set of coins released by the Royal n Mint tomorrow. 

The collection of coins features Bluey alone, another shows the Heeler family together, and the third shows Bingo and Bluey dressed up as The Grannies.

They can be purchased as individual coin cards or as a three-coin set that includes a sticker sheet.

Royal Mint CEO Leigh Gordon said the Bluey coins has provided the Mint with a chance to reconnect with a broader audience.

‘This is the mint’s classic storytelling and social culture commentary through coins,’ Mr Gordon said.

‘We hope that through this new Bluey program we are cultivating the coin collector of tomorrow.

‘What better way to start your child’s or grandchild’s coin collection, than with a Bluey coin.’

Kate O’Connor, who handles the creation of Bluey products, said the coins capture the spirit of Bluey.

‘These fun and colourful coins encapsulate the playful essence of the beloved TV series, making them a timeless treasure for fans and collectors alike.’

The Mint anticipates high demand for the coins, so they are urging people to register for an online ballot, which opens today at 8:30am.

The coins will also be available tomorrow at the temporary Mint coin shop and through select licensed distributors.
