The classy look was in sharp contrast to his recent fashion choices that included bathrobes and shorts while he was promoting his directorial debut Poolman.

Chris earlier this month showed off his muscular physique in tiny shorts and a green tank top while stopping at a newsstand in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.

He also rocked a bathrobe on Jimmy Kimmel Live while plugging his film Poolman.

Along with helming and co-writing the feature, Chris also starred in it alongside Annete Bening, Ariana DeBose, Danny DeVito and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

In the run-up to its theatrical release on May 10, Chris repeatedly caught the eye for his striking wardrobe choices.

Chris starred in his new film as Darren – an apartment complex pool man with a philosophical streak – while Annette and Danny were featured as his neighbors.

Eventually, Darren becomes aware of a water heist and is launched into a series of film noir misadventures that include a femme fatale.

The comedy mystery boasts a cast that includes DeWanda Wise, the star of the Netflix series adapted from Spike Lee’s classic movie She’s Gotta Have It.

Groundhog Day actor Stephen Tobolowsky, The Shawshank Redemption alum Clancy Brown and veteran English actress Juliet Mills are also seen in the film.

Shedding light on his fashion sense, Chris recently revealed that many of his Poolman costumes were lifted from his real-life wardrobe.

‘I wear an outfit in it that’s basically my version of Cary Grant in To Catch a Thief, which is one of my favorite films,’ the Star Trek heartthrob told Access. ‘I wear two of my own hats in it, so I’m very much into the Poolman aesthetic.’

He cut a particularly eye-catching figure at Poolman’s Los Angeles premiere in April at Quentin Tarantino’s Vista Theatre as he wore an ‘I Love LA’ along with corduroy shorts.

The Los Angeles native portrayed James T. Kirk in the Star Trek reboot film series.
