Anna Robards (née Heinrich) revealed on Tuesday she has no plans to have a third child after her life-threatening birth complications with baby daughter Ruby.

The Bachelor star, 37, welcomed her second child with husband Tim Robards in March, but was rushed to emergency surgery when she faced sudden and severe postpartum bleeding.

Now the Intu Wellness founder has told Daily Mail she ‘appreciates life more’ since the harrowing experience, and has no plans to have a third child in the future.

‘I’m lucky to have always wanted two children. So I definitely don’t want any more children. I’m really done at two, but I definitely think it would scare people,’ she said.

‘Even when I was speaking with my obstetrician he was like, “Okay, probably no more children for you, Anna.”‘

‘It was quite traumatic at the time, but at the same time it puts life in perspective,’ she continued.

‘It puts your family and everything in perspective and how lucky you are to be here and have two amazing kids and a partner. I appreciate life more coming out of that.’

She went on to say the postpartum complications, which left husband Tim, 41, fearing for Anna’s life, are ‘becoming a distant memory’.

‘You’ve got so many other things to focus on… I’ll always remember it, but I’m thankfully here to tell the story,’ she said.

Tim revealed just last week he ‘could see the fear in the doctor’s eyes that she had been through a lot, it was pretty touch and go’.

‘That’s when it hit home, it is all pretty safe these days and to think I could have been a single dad with two girls hits home and makes you really appreciate having each other,’ the chiropractor told the Daily Telegraph.

Thankfully, things have only been looking up for the Robards’ four-person family unit in the weeks since the ordeal.

Anna told Daily Mail her three-year-old daughter Elle has taken beautifully to having a baby sister, and often tries to help her mum out with the parenting.

‘I was actually quite surprised with how Elle has been because I didn’t know if she was going to be the jealous type,’ Anna said.

‘She’s taken on a really motherly role… She’s been a really good older sister. I’m very proud of her.’

'I'm lucky to have always wanted two children. So I definitely don't want anymore children. I'm really done at two, but I definitely think it would scare people,' she said

Anna said she’s also ‘impressed’ with how well Tim, who she met and fell in love with on the first season of The Bachelor in 2013, has taken to fatherhood yet again.

‘We share absolutely everything. There are days and weeks where I’m working a lot more than him. So he’ll take the load when it comes to the kids and vice versa,’ she said.

‘You just have to constantly juggle and communicate. I’m very fortunate to have him, but he’s also very fortunate to have me.’

The mother-of-two also revealed she’s been learning more about ‘baby skincare routines’ since signing on as a brand ambassador for the nappy brand Huggies.

‘When you think about your child, your newborn, their skin is 30% thinner than adult skin. It’s very delicate. It’s very soft,’ the skincare and wellness entrepreneur said.

‘Things can happen quickly if you don’t look after it. There are certain things you do and don’t do when it comes to newborns.’

She went on to say she’s always on the hunt for quality products to prevent skin irritations common in babies such as diaper rash and cradle cap.

Anna added that she favours Huggies newest nappies because of their ‘Zinc-enriched layer’, but also focuses on buying ‘the right clothing and the right wipes’ in addition to only bathing Ruby ‘every three or so days’ to prevent skin irritation.

‘You don’t have to call it a skincare routine, but you can as well. It’s about having the knowledge of what’s going to work for your baby, and what’s not going to work,’ she said.

Anna and Tim met on first season of The Bachelor and are considered one of the most successful couples to come out of the series.

They tied the knot in June 2018 during an intimate ceremony at the Masseria Potenti hotel in Puglia in south Italy.

The lovebirds welcomed their first child, daughter Elle, on November 12, 2020, and their second child, daughter Ruby, in the first week of March, 2024.
