Channel Seven has released its first look trailer for the 2024 season of Dancing With The Stars.

Sonia Kruger and Dr. Chris Brown join forces as this year’s hosts of the celebrity dancing competition, with major stars like Ben Cousins, James Stewart, Lisa McCune and chef Julie Goodwin taking part.

The trailer is Chris’ first appearance on the show after he jumped ship from Channel Ten last year and replaced long-running DWTS host Daryl Somers.

In the video, Sonia and Chris are dressed up in dazzling outfits as they zip around in a disco ball-themed ‘star catcher’ car to locate the cast members for this year’s season.

‘Let’s get ’em,’ Sonia says to Chris before he floors the accelerator pedal on the vehicle.

‘They’re got to be around her somewhere.’

Meanwhile, singer Samantha Jade, who will also be participating in the dance comp, performs a rendition of the hit song Can’t Take My Eyes Off You over the top of the trailer.

Among the stars appearing in the DWTS promo was AFL legend Ben Cousins, who has long been rumoured to be taking part.

The 45-year-old footy star, who has been rebuilding his life in recent years after a fall from grace, explained that part of his redemption arc will include reality TV.

Next up was four-time Gold Logie winner Lisa McCune, another who was long slated to be part of the series.

Another beloved star – MasterChef fan favourite Julie Goodwin – appeared next in the promo cooking up a storm.

‘Life is too short to say no to something like this,’ Goodwin told The Daily Telegraph.

‘Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be capable of dancing,’ she continued

‘I have always loved to watch the show, and to watch people dance, but it never occurred to me that one day I might be able to do it too.’

Dancing with the Stars will premiere on Channel Seven later this year.

Last year it was announced Brown would replace long-serving host Daryl Somers as co-host.

Fans have already been wowed by Brown and Kruger’s on-camera chemistry after the pair co-hosted the TV Week Logie Awards.

Brown was rumoured to be up for the role of co-hosting DWTS with Kruger last year, but according to The Sunday Telegraph he missed out due to a ‘miscalculation’ about his contract.

TV bosses were ‘compelled to extend the invitation to Somers’ after miscalculating Brown’s start date at Channel Seven.

Brown officially joined Seven in July last year – which was too late for the show’s producers, BBC Studios, to start filming.
