alert-–-who-needs-holly-and-phil?-good-morning-britain’s-laura-tobin-arrives-to-work-still-wearing-her-bafta-dress-after-all-night-partying-with-lorraine-kellyAlert – Who needs Holly and Phil? Good Morning Britain’s Laura Tobin arrives to work STILL wearing her BAFTA dress after all-night partying with Lorraine Kelly

Laura Tobin didn’t let her early start at work on Monday morning get in the way of her late night partying after the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday.

The presenter turned up to the Good Morning Britain studios still in her gown from the night before after a night of partying with Lorraine Kelly at the star-studded event.

It seemed the meteorologist was taking a leaf out of Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby’s book after the This Morning pair became renowned for their all-night partying after the National Television Awards.

The duo have left fans in hysterics over the years when they have arrived in an embattled state, with iconic moments including in 2013, when they were found slumped on the floor, 2016’s show when they arrived in their clothes from the night before and 2018, when Holly nearly vomited.

And it seems Laura embraced the party atmosphere as she appeared to have arrived to work straight from the afterparty in her stunning pink and blue floral white dress.

As Good Morning Britain kicked off on Monday morning, hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls made sure to note Laura’s antics as Susanna began: ‘We’re going to address what you came in wearing.’

Sharing a snap of Lorraine and Laura celebrating together, Susanna told Laura. ‘I think it’s the dress in this photo, just before 5 am this morning…’

Laura quickly hit back, claiming to have gone to bed before rocking up to work as she explained she couldn’t actually get herself out of the garment.

‘I’m so embarrassed,’ she admitted, ‘I went to bed at a reasonable time but I couldn’t unzip the dress myself so had to sleep in it. I have been to sleep!’

Chuckling, Ed declared: ‘That is the least convincing lie I have ever heard.’

Laura protested: ‘That is the true, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, your Honour,’ as Susanna added: ‘love it’.

However the presenters didn’t leave Laura’s embarrassing moment there as they brought it up again later in the show.

Laura told viewers who had just tuned in: ‘I could not reach her zip which is the reason why this morning, she turned up wearing the same dress.’

Ed added: ‘It’s the new phrase for all night partying, ‘Could not reach their zip”.

Laura had changed into something more appropriate for her TV appearance as she demonstrated how she couldn’t reach the zip on her back.

Meanwhile it was a special night for the ITV family, after their own queen of daytime TV Lorraine was presented with a BAFTA Special Award for her 40-year career in broadcasting.

Lorraine was handed her award by Brian Cox – and was cheered on by the theatre full of stars.

As she bowed out of her acceptance speech, Lorraine cheerfully quipped: ‘I’m on the telly tomorrow, but I’m going to celebrate tonight. Thank you so much!’

However, fans were left in hysterics when Judi appeared to roll her eyes over Lorraine winning the prestigious BAFTA award.

As Lorraine took to the stage, cameras then showed I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec smiling manically while clapping away and The Sixth Commandment star Anne Reid was also shown politely clapping along.

However, as cameras moved to Judi Love, she appeared less than impressed as she seemingly refused to applaud and rolled her eyes.

Fans watching the awards from home then took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their thoughts on Judi’s reaction.

One fan comically wrote: ‘Judi Love’s reaction to Lorraine’s award’ – alongside two skull emjois implying they were ‘dying’ over the response.

Another quipped: ‘Judi knows Lorraine not coming back to work this Friday haha’;
