Carrie Bickmore has revealed the extreme lengths she’s going to in order to prepare for her upcoming half marathon.

The radio host, 43, has previously revealed she’s going to be tackling the Great Wall of China this month.

And on Tuesday, the former Project star brought a Stairmaster into her studio so that she could continue her training while recording the Carrie and Tommy Show with co-host Tommy Little.

‘What better way to do it, you guys thought, than putting a Stairmaster in the studio?’ said Carrie of her training for the ‘5000 step’ endeavour.

‘That was your idea Carrie,’ Tommy shot back.

When Carrie appeared to get puffed during the exchange, she complained ‘it’s hard to talk and stair at the same time.’

‘That’s what you’re going to have to be doing on the Great Wall,’ said Tommy.

”I’m not going to chat! I’m going to be focused,’ claimed Carrie.

Bickmore shared images from a particularly gruelling training run last month.

The mother-of-two went on a foul-mouthed tirade in an Instagram video which documented her intense training routine.

In the clip, Carrie cursed several times as she attempted to run up a set of stairs in the Dandenong Ranges.

‘I thought I should do some more incline. So I’ve come to 1000 steps in the Dandenongs,’ she said between gasps for air.

‘I’ve done a minute up the steps. I’m honestly dead. F**k, f**k, f**k. I can’t do it.’

She continued: ‘[The stairs] just keep going, and going, and going. Oh my god.

‘F**k. F**k. F**k. There’s more to go too. Like, a lot more.’

The former Project host continued to swear as she filmed herself running down stairs.

‘I’m gonna be f**ked,’ she said.

In the end, Carrie finally celebrated her goal for completing the task.

‘I f**king did it, b***h,’ she said.

Last week, the blonde shared the news to her Instagram page that she will be running the iconic landmark and explained she has been training for the challenging marathon.

‘I am running the Great Wall of China. A few months ago I was feeling a little blah and needed something to train towards, so I signed up to run (or crawl) along the Great Wall of China half marathon. (21KMS),’ she said.

‘The clock is ticking and it’s now just 4 weeks away. Yes I’m insane. But sometimes you just gotta say yes first then think of the all the reasons why not to, once it’s too late to pull out.’

Carrie said she likes the idea ‘of pushing herself out of her comfort zone’ and is excited to run the marathon.

‘I am ok if I try it and don’t succeed. I’ll just try again. Plus I feel very lucky that my body in its current state allows me to. So, BECAUSE I CAN, I WILL,’ she added.

‘Set yourself a challenge, even if it’s to learn to run 5K, it’ll give you something to work towards.’
