Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a ‘burned body’ was discovered at a house on a quiet residential housing estate.

Emergency services were called to a ‘serious, ongoing incident’ in Shetland Close, Bradford, shortly before 4pm on Tuesday to find the body of a man at a property.

In a brief statement released later that evening, West Yorkshire Police confirmed that two people, a man and a woman, had been arrested.

Pictures show charring in the garden of the house and visible fire damage to the ground floor windows.

Fire crews, police and paramedics were all sent to the scene with neighbours claiming that they had never seen such a large emergency service presence before.
