A woman stalked the boyfriend who dumped her so badly that he had to move to Wales to get away from her – after her lies saw him falsely branded a would-be mass murderer.

Jake Green, 31, has told how he was subjected to a ‘nightmare’ ordeal after he dumped Jenny Keats-Rawling and was left terrified she would kill him.

Keats-Rawling sent a chilling SOS message to police claiming Mr Green was ‘hearing voices and was wanting to kill people.’

Police went to arrest him at his home in Manchester before realising it was a hoax but obsessed Keats-Rawling then bombarded him with more than 100 silent calls in just a few days, branded him a thief and turned his family against him.

She even targeted his new girlfriend, threatened to go to his eight-year-old son’s school and sent him a fake baby scan claiming she was pregnant as part of her twisted revenge.

At one point Keats-Rawling impersonated a police officer even refused to move out of his mother’s home before she was arrested in April last year.

Mr Green said: ‘It was a nightmare.

‘I thought she was going to kill me – it was terrifying.

‘She made me out to be a murderer, a liar and a thief. It was such a mad time – things just went boom.

‘I was just so exhausted with it all, there were lods of phone calls from her at one or two in the morning.

‘I just wanted her to stop and for it be over. This has been devastating.’

Keats-Rawling, of Cheadle, Gtr Manchester, admitted stalking causing serious alarm or distress between April 14 and October 6 of last year when she appeared at Stockport Magistrates Court two months ago.

The jobless 30-year-old, who has been diagnosed as autistic, escaped jail as she was sentenced to an 18-month community order, with a requirement she attends 25 days of rehabilitation and was fined £162, with £199 in costs and victim surcharge.

The troubled woman was also made subject of 18-month restraining order not to contact Mr Green, his new girlfriend and two other family members.

Keats-Rawling faced up to 18 months jail under sentencing guidelines but a judge has decided not to send her to prison.

The pair met out a night-out at a club in Manchester in October 2022 and romance

‘She came across as a fun, normal person to start with but things developed pretty quickly and she told me she loved me,’ Mr Green told .

But things turned soar the following April and Mr Green had to call the police when she refused to move out his mother’s house when he ended their relationship.

His house was raided twice by police after she made up chilling stories about him.

She was first arrested on April 20 last year and bailed with conditions not to go within 500m of any property that the victim was present and banned from contacting him on social media.

The court heard that just the next day, Keats-Rawling carried on her stalking with 129 phone calls and messages as well as the fake pregnancy.

On 5 May, she told police: ‘My boyfriend Jake Green suffers really bad with his mental health.

‘He is hearing voices and saying he wants to kill people. I am scared for my life and I desperately need your help’.

Police again investigated but Mr Green was soon cleared as her lies were exposed.

The mental health worker said: ‘It took a massive toll on me.

‘She contacted my brother and claimed she was pregnant and sent a scan.

‘But I knew it was fake and the dates didn’t add up and we used protection.

‘It was all heartbreaking especially as she made threats against my son saying he should know about me.

‘She knew his address and where I had picked him up from school.

‘She knew too much. I didn’t want him in that danger.’

The mental health company boss added: ‘She has just been given a slap on the wrist with a small fine whereas I have lost thousands and I have had to go through all this.

‘Justice has not been done.’

Mr Green now runs a mental health company called Emerald Journey ‘to help others’.

Magistrates heard that Keats-Rawling had no previous convictions.

Her lawyer Peter Green told the hearing: ‘She is diagnosed with autism and has dyslexia and dyspraxia.

‘I think she recognises those issues and that she does need help.

‘I am sure there won’t be a repeat of those offences.

‘She comes from a good family and her father has been with her through this. He has been with her at every attendance at court and is fully supportive.

He understands the issues that she has.

‘She is sorry for what has happened and just wants to put this behind her and move on. She has done the right thing and she would like to have this resolved.’

In sentencing Keats-Rawling, JP Muhammad Rafique told her: ‘We have heard what has happened and as a bench we are sympathetic to your issues and the things that you suffer from. But it was not wise to put someone through that distress.

‘We have decided not to send you to prison but allow me to warn you, if you do not follow the instructions of the probation service that will happen.’

But Mr Green thinks his ordeal might not be over.

‘I think at some point, she’ll try and contact me again.’
