Lil Dicky has opened up to the Kelce brothers on his decision to give up tickets for the Eagles’ win in Super Bowl LII – calling it ‘the best night of my life.’

The rapper, whose real name is Dave Burd, grew up near Philadelphia and had an opportunity to see the Eagles face the Patriots in the game in 2018.

Instead, as he told Jason and Travis on ‘New Heights’, he went back home to watch the matchup with his childhood friends.

‘When I think of the best night of my life, it’s when you won the Super Bowl,’ he said, speaking to Jason.

‘I turned down tickets to that game in Minnesota, so I could go home and watch it with my… high school friends. So that we could all go out in the street.’

Lil Dicky said he ‘saw people climbing poles’ in the aftermath of the win, though he regrets having to leave town shortly after and missing the championship parade.

The 36-year-old is also the creator of the hit comedy show ‘Dave,’ and spoke to the Kelce brothers about how he managed to get Brad Pitt on season three.

Amazingly, Burd had never met the Hollywood A-lister before sending him a cold email – which Pitt somewhat confusingly responded to.

‘He responded to my email with a truly iconic response, metaphorically saying he would be there, to the point where I didn’t know if it was real or a joke, or what… you have to see him show up to believe this is actually gonna happen,’ he said.

Once he was on set, Pitt was extremely generous with his time, shooting ‘four nights for 8pm to 7pm’ for his episode, which centers around a Lil Dicky stalker.

‘You never know. Like he seems cool, but sometimes guys have personas that are really cool, and then you meet them and they’re like shy or just not fun to hang out with,’ Burd said. ‘This guy was the man, and he was so nice to everybody on set.’

He continued, ‘I’ve never felt like I made it more. Brad Pitt is the LeBron, Michael Jordan of film. I’m sitting with him on set and I’m giving him direction and he’s respecting my opinion and believing in my vision. There’s nothing more gratifying as a filmmaker, ever.

Burd also shared with Jason that he’s often gotten emotional from the legendary Eagles center, saying, ‘I don’t know that any man has made me cry in the last five years more than you.’

The rapper cited Jason’s famous Super Bowl parade speech, the ‘Kelce’ documentary and his emotional retirement speech last month as three occasions that made the waterworks come out.

‘Have you seen more men cry publicly than us?’ Jason cracked.

After spending his entire 13-year career with the Eagles, the center hung up his cleats this offseason, announcing his retirement in front of Travis and his wife, Kylie, among others.

Travis, meanwhile, won his third Super Bowl with the Chiefs and will return for another season in Kansas City.
