Britain’s Got Talent could ‘shock viewers’ as the Golden Buzzer acts are revealed throughout the upcoming series.

Reports claim that over half of the acts, who are already through to the semi-finals after receiving the golden buzzer, aren’t from the UK.

Judges Simon, Amanda, Bruno, Alesha and Ant & Dec were all given an opportunity throughout auditions to send two contestants each straight to the semi-finals.

And according to The Sun, a TV insider said: ‘People know the show often features foreign acts – some of them are utterly brilliant and, in many cases, go on to win the contest.

‘But it’s a surprise to think that the cream of the crop who are sent through on golden buzzers are often from other countries.’

In 2020, 25 percent of performers were already known or previously appeared on shows from other countries.

In January, auditions kicked-off in London for the anticipated return of the ITV contest.

And just day one of auditions, the show quickly turned into chaos as Simon, Amanda and Bruno all pressed their golden buzzers.

Each judge including Ant & Dec on the sidelines, are given two chances this year throughout the auditions to send a contestant straight to the live shows.

And not holding back one bit, out of the first 20 auditions three are already through to the live rounds.

An insider told The Sun: ‘Bruno was almost moved to tears watching his golden buzzer dance act, and was first to slam down on the button so hard it cracked.

‘He was shortly followed by Simon, who sent a Japanese dance act through to the live shows.

‘And finally, Amanda was so impressed by a female theatre singer that she was keen to give a shot in the live rounds. She was last to press the buzzer.’

The judges kicked off the auditions earlier this year and packed in two blocks of audition shows per day in a tight schedule.

After London, the judges travelled up to Manchester at the start of February for another five days of auditions, held at the Central Convention Centre.

The release date for the upcoming 17th series of Britain’s Got Talent has not yet been confirmed.
