A photo of a vandalised car spray-painted with the words ‘liar’ and ‘I know what you did’ has gone viral with many speculating that a disgruntled ex was behind the attack.

The car was parked outside a popular chicken shop on Foveaux Street, Surry Hills, in Sydney’s inner east.

A photo of the damaged vehicle went viral on Reddit.

Meanwhile, in the neighbouring suburb of Potts Point, another vehicle was spotted with clothes strewn across it, sparking speculation about a potential connection between the incidents.

‘Took both these photos yesterday. Related?’ the Reddit user who shared the images asked.

‘My guess is two jilted exes from different relationships getting back at someone,’ one Aussie speculated, while another mused, ‘Cheating and marriage problems.’

However, some people disputed the notion of a connection between the incidents, pointing out that the cars were spotted at different locations.

‘That’s a fair distance to travel for a bit of petty revenge, so I’m going to say they probably aren’t related,’ another said.
