Brooke Shields gushed over husband Chris Henchy in celebration of his milestone 60th birthday.

On Saturday, the actress and model, 58, took to Instagram to share her favorite photos of them through the years.

‘Happy birthday, my love!! I have no idea what we’d do without you Chris, love you so so much xx,’ she shared in the caption with obvious emotion to her words.

The cover photo is a selfie of Shields giving Henchy a sweet kiss on the cheek.

Like his iconic spouse, Henchy has also made a name for himself in Hollywood as a writer and producer of television and films.

Henchy, who was born in New York City but grew up in Augusta, Georgia, moved back to Manhattan after graduating from college to work on Wall Street.

But he would later leave his job in order to pursue a career in comedy.

He’s best known for being a creative collaborator with Will Ferrell, which includes co-creating the popular comedy website Funny or Die, and writing several of Ferrell’s films like Land Of The Lost, The Campaign and The Other Guys.

Henchy has also worked on many hit TV shows such as Spin City, Life With Bonnie, Entourage, and I’m With Her, which he created with Marco Pennette, and was loosely based on Henchy’s relationship with Shields.

And it turns out it’s comedy and laughter that’s been the key to helping keep their romance alive as their 23rd wedding anniversary approaches on April 4.

‘He made me laugh and he consistently makes me laugh and doesn’t take anything too seriously so I don’t go down those rabbit holes the way I used to,’ she told People.

‘He sort of just brings me back out and says, “We’ll figure it out.” So he’s good at leveling me.’

Shields’ American bulldog, Darla, was actually the one who introduced her to her future husband and love of her life.

‘To this day I believe that I fell in love with Chris the day we met, in 1999, but I would never tell him that!” she wrote in her memoir, Down Came the Rain: My Journey Through Postpartum Depression (2005).

‘I had just gotten an American bulldog, Darla, and I brought her to meet friends of mine in the gym on the Warner Bros. lot. While there, the dog wandered off, and Chris brought her back. He was writing for a show filmed on the lot and loved dogs. We chatted and he made me laugh.’

In what some would call a sign of fate or destiny, the pair ran into each other again three weeks later when Shields was playing hosting for a show in Washington, D.C. that happened to have Henchy as one of the writers.

‘[W]e started spending time together and became friends,’ Shields added. ‘I was struck by how thoughtful and funny he was.’

They would end up making their union legal when they got married in April 2001, and then welcomed their daughter Rowan, now 20, in May 2003 and then daughter Grier, now 17, in April 2006.

Shields began her career as a model when she was just 11-months-old in 1966 when she was photographed for an Ivory Soap .

She would ultimately become a wildly successful model and then make her feature film debut in the horror film Alice, Sweet Alice (1976).

The rising star saw her star rise with the role in French director Louis Malle’s Pretty Baby (1977), in which she played a child who lived in a brothel, the daughter of a prostitute played by Susan Sarandon. The role included numerous nude scenes for Shields who was only 12-years-old at the time of the shoot.

The New York City native would go on to star in such films as The Blue Lagoon (1980), Endless Love (1981), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), The Bachelor (1999), as well as the hit NBC sitcom Suddenly Susan (1996-2000), the NBC comedy-drama Lipstick Jungle (2008-2009) and The CW comedy-drama Jane The Virgin (2018-2019).

Most recently Shields stars in the upcoming comedy film Mother Of The Bride, alongside the likes of Miranda Cosgrove, Benjamin Bratt, Chad Michael Murray and Rachael Harris that’s set to drop on Netflix May 9.
