Meanwhile, The Kyle and Jackie O Show currently sits as the most listened to radio program in Sydney, with 851,000 cumulative listeners tuning in each weekday.

It comes after the launch date for The Kyle and Jackie O Show’s expansion into Melbourne was confirmed this week.

Kyle, 52, and Jackie, 49, revealed their show will premiere in Melbourne on Monday, April 29 at 6am.

‘What we are going to put into Melbourne has never been done before. Even if you already hate Jackie, give me a chance,’ Kyle joked.

‘We’re going to give you a very different type of show. I’m not saying the other ones are the worst shows, they’re not. They’ve been great, but we offer something different.’

‘We are sticking to what we know. In terms of the day to day content, nothing changes, we won’t be dumbing things down or pulling back,’ Jackie added.

‘We’re looking forward to finally broadcasting into Melbourne. We’re excited.’

The pair promised the show would become more ‘inclusive’ for Melbourne and include the city in its prize giveaways, which previously were only for Sydney residents.

In November, the pair signed a record-breaking $200million 10-year contract which will see them on the air for the next decade and expand into Melbourne.
