A teenage boy is fighting for his life, and three others have been injured after a horror late-night hit-and-run involving an allegedly stolen vehicle on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to the intersection of Frank Street Marine Parade in Labrador at 12:25 a.m. Thursday following reports of a two-car crash.

An allegedly stolen Mazda CX3 ran a red light and collided with a Mazda 3 at high speed, forcing the other vehicle into the guardrail, according to witnesses.

The Mazda CX3 had been allegedly stolen in Surfers Paradise just minutes earlier, according to Queensland Police.

The impact of the crash caused injuries to occupants in both vehicles as eight ambulances raced to the scene.

The Mazda 3 male driver, 17 was transported to hospital in a stable condition suffering from lacerations.

Their critically injured male passenger, 15, was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital with significant chest and pelvic injuries.

A boy, 17 and girl, 14 in the Mazda CX3 allegedly fled the scene following the crash.

The pair were later located by police in the nearby suburb of Southport and  transported to hospital in stable conditions.

‘They are currently assisting police with investigations,’ a police statement read.

‘Investigations are continuing.’

No charges have yet been laid.

The allegedly stolen Mazda CX3 was later towed away to be forensically examined by police.
