A man has died in a surfing accident at a beach after he was found unconscious in the water.
Emergency crews rushed to Cabbage Tree Harbour, near Norah Head on the NSW Central Coast on Wednesday around 9.45am after first responders were informed a beachgoer got into trouble.
Paramedics and Surf Life Savers performed CPR on the man, but he could not be saved.

The man is yet to be identified however, he is understood to have been aged in his 70s.
Officers from NSW Police are investigating the incident and the cause, that led to the death of the man.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
