A young motorbike rider who was killed in a horror crash had previously shared a video to social media of herself riding with no hands. 

Perth woman Monique Roberts, 25, died after her pink Honda motorcycle smashed into a roadside barrier on Tonkin Highway at about 5.30pm on Friday.  

Ms Roberts’ suffered severe injuries and died at the scene of the crash.

The 25-year-old had numerous social media pages dedicated to her motorbike and would share pictures and videos of her riding it with her thousands of followers. 

Last month, Ms Roberts shared a photograph of herself and her pink Honda with the caption ‘Random people: ‘you’re going to die on that thing’.’

Her twin sister, Dana Roberts-Licastro, used the picture to announce her sister’s death, claiming the caption ‘did not age well’. 

‘That didn’t age well … she has passed away in a motorcycle accident,’ her sister wrote.

Another picture showed Ms Roberts on her bike with the caption: ‘I wanna feel wanted, might do 140 past a cop later idk (I don’t know)’. 

She added: ‘I know my 250 won’t make it, but it’ll be fun to try.’ 

In yet another post, Ms Roberts said she would start the new year with ‘the need to Mach Jesus speed’ – a slang term used to describe an object travelling at an extremely high speed. 

In numerous videos of Ms Roberts, the 25-year-old can be seen riding with one-hand on her bike’s handlebars or with no hands. 

One video even shows Ms Roberts creating a love heart sign with her fingers at her chest as she rides her bike down the road.

Grief-stricken family and friends have shared touching tributes to Ms Roberts on social media.  

‘At least you passed doing what you loved… Heaven has gained another angel,’ the friend wrote.

Jade Roberts, 27, also shared a heartfelt tribute to Ms Roberts on Sunday, describing her as having a ‘beautiful soul’.

‘Monique was a down-to-earth, kind, quiet and beautiful soul. She was creative, vibrant, colourful, and very expressive in her clothing, style, piercings and tattoos,’ Ms Roberts told the West n.

‘She also brought a certain light to the room and charismatic energy that could make anyone smile and want to talk to her.’

Jade explained she was in the process of arranging a photoshoot with Ms Roberts’ and her motorcycle.  

‘She loved her job, her bike and most importantly, her friends and family, who are utterly devastated at losing such a lively, spirited soul so young,’ Jade said.

Ms Robert’s twin sister Dana also started a GoFundMe to help with the funeral expenses. 

‘Our family suffered a tragic loss and my sister only 25 had died in a motorcycle accident,’ Dana wrote. 

‘We are raising funds for her funeral to make the process easier while we grieve this tragedy.’ 

Officers from the Major Crash Unit have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the crash. 

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the crash, has dashcam footage or mobile phone vision to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
