‘Mama June’ Shannon appeared to cut off her daughters in a clip for the next episode of Mama June: Family Crisis.

In a video obtained by People, the 44-year-old reality star rebuffed her daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird after she urged her to contribute to June’s youngest daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s college fund.

June previously said she feared Alana would ‘crash’ if she moved to Colorado for college.

The new clip didn’t feature Mama June on camera, but focused on Pumpkin as she called up her mother on the phone.

While her hair was still wet and wrapped in a towel after a bath, Pumpkin, 24, dialed up her mother as she relaxed on her bed.

After she mentioned that she was ‘relaxing’ after her bath, June replied: ‘I wish I could relax.’

Pumpkin used that as the kickoff to her difficult conversation.

”Well, hell, I’m done relaxing now. I called to tell you that me and [husband] Josh [Efird] decided that we’re gonna go ahead and take Alana to Colorado,’ she said.

June sounded as if she didn’t think that was a wise move for the teen.

‘She really needs to do something about getting her s*** together,’ she said.

‘I know, mama. So the main thing I need you to do is call and check about that Coogan account,’ Lauryn replied, seemingly referring to an account mandated for child performers in which their parents are required to put away a percentage of the child’s earnings to ensure that they will have at least some of their earnings available once they are an adult.

The account’s were first established by law in California and have since spread after the former child actor Jackie Coogan learned that his parents had pocketed all of his earnings from his film work and had spent it, leaving him penniless as an adult, though he continued to work as an actor in later decades.

Alana would only have access to the funds in her account once she turned 18.

'If she can¿t invest in her own self, then why should I? What money are you and Josh willing to put up?' June shot back about Alana (pictured)

‘You’re not forking any money out and her payments for college are due very soon,’ Pumpkin continued.

‘And I know that,’ June replied coldly.

‘So, I mean [you’ll] still [do] nothing, like, even if we found her house and go to the college and stuff, you’re not gonna help pay for anything?’ Lauryn continued.

‘If she can’t invest in her own self, then why should I? What money are you and Josh willing to put up?’ June shot back.

Pumpkin replied that she wasn’t Alana’s ‘mom,’ but June wasn’t satisfied.

‘But you said that you were mom, and you’ve raised her and all that, so don’t even try that s***,’ she said.

However, Pumpkin filed for full custody of Alana in 2022, after her younger sister moved in with her and her family in 2019, when June was arrested on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

She was sentenced to complete 100 hours of community service in August 2021, but continued to attend therapy sessions to repair her relationship with her daughters after years of spending wildly while in the thrall of her ex-boyfriend Geno Doak.

After the call, Pumpkin vented to her husband Josh about how they had been raising and supporting Alana for 'four years' as her mother struggled to steady her life

Because of the history of how she came to care for Alana, Pumpkin said her mother was ‘missing the whole point.’

‘The point is you’re not willing to help at all, and it does make Alana think that you don’t believe in her,’ she explained. ‘I mean, do you say we just had the money to up and fly to Colorado? We’re doing that because we believe in her. That’s what a mother does.’

‘I understand that but I can also kind of voice my concerns too as her mother,’ Mama June replied.

After the call ended, Lauryn turned to her husband Josh to vent about the tense exchange.

‘You will not f***ing believe what Mama just did,’ she seethed. ‘Mama has the audacity to be like, “Well, y’all just want to ask me for the money for college or for the first semester and stuff, and I don’t f***ing have it.” She’s like, “What the f*** are you and Josh going to do?” Like, I’ve done everything.’

Josh added that they had been supporting and caring for Alana for the last ‘four years,’ though June was expected to pay $800 per month in child support until her daughter turned 18.

Pumpkin thought her mother was only worried about the money she was being asked to contribute to her daughter.

‘Oh no, it’s the support that she’s worried about. It’s worried about what money we’re gonna put towards it, that’s what she’s worried about because God forbid somebody dip into her f***ing change,’ she vented.

‘I’m literally about to send her off to college. What have you done to get that process moving, June?’ she said to herself.

Josh added that he expected June to do more, if only out of a sense of guilt and obligation.

In last week's episode, June seemed concerned about Alana moving out of state after having seen little of her in recent years. The next episode of Mama June: Family Crisis air at 9 p.m. ET on March 15

‘You know, after the amount of s*** that June has put Alana through, you figured she would want to pay for the entire college or at least pay for semester or two, but, like, nope,’ he added in a confessional interview. ‘I don’t see her voluntarily chipping in nothing. It’s selfish, you know, is what I’m saying.’

In last week’s episode, Alana confirmed her desire to attend college in Colorado, and after learning that she would have to pay $11,000 per semester to attend, she put forward the idea of tapping into her Coogan account to help pay for tuition.

But June pushed back on the idea, seemingly out of guilt about not being around her daughter much in recent years, even after she had seemingly recovered from her drug addiction battles and found a new husband.

The next episode of Mama June: Family Crisis is set to air at 9 p.m. ET on March 15.
