‘The King has shown his compassion for ns affected by recent natural disasters, just as ns have shown compassion and support for the King following his cancer diagnosis.

‘The King, Queen and members of the Royal Family are always welcome in .’

King Charles has made 15 official visits to . The last three he was accompanied by Queen Camilla, who was the the Duchess of Cornwall.

The King, for his part, has long had a love affair with .

In 1966, he spent two terms at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, which he later described as the most enjoyable of his whole education.
