A group of Chicago teens who organized a car heist at a Range Rover dealership and took off with vehicles are being hunted by law officials.

Nine teenagers conducted the robbery at a Jaguar-Land Rover dealership in Waukesha and were able to steal nine high-end cars, reportedly worth over $500,000 on February 18.

The suspects broke into the dealership at about 6am, found the keys and then activated the key fobs to find the cars, which they then stole, according to Waukesha Police Captain Dan Baumann.

CCTV footage from inside the dealership shows four of the youngsters, all dressed in black including masks and head coverings, rushing inside the store.

‘A stolen vehicle, a minivan, comes to the dealership. They open the service door, and nine subjects went throughout there looking for keys.

‘One person finds where the keys were hidden and then starts to disseminate those to his friend,’ Baumann told WISN12.

Officials said that while eight of the vehicles belonged to the dealership, the ninth was a customer’s car.

Footage shows one of the thieves speedily revving a white car back into a glass garage door.

Video then shows the robbers driving away the luxury cars in a movie-style formation out of the dealership and onto a highway.

In the end, the thieves are seen being followed in a high-speed car chase by police on Interstate 94.

One of the suspects, an unidentified 17-year-old boy, was arrested the same day in a village named Pleasant Prairie after the stolen vehicle he was driving crashed along on the interstate during the chase.

He is being held at the Waukesha County Jail on a $50,000 bond and has been charged with burglary, theft and criminal damage to property.

As of now, cops have been able to recover six of the nine stolen vehicles – four in Chicago city, one in the Chicago suburb of Deerfield and one in Wisconsin.

Baumann believes the the heist was a strategic and, most likely, a professional job. He further said: ‘We believe this to be an organized crime group of teenagers from the Chicago area.

This wasn’t just a group of kids that just decided to stay up late one night playing video games and say, “Hey let’s go see if the nine of us can travel two hours away to commit crimes”.

‘Because that’s not something that normally happens.’

Officials are still investigating the case and trying to identify the other eight suspects.
