Bijou Phillips parties in LA after quitting Scientology – as rapist ex-husband Danny Masterson’s request for bail is DENIED ‘because he has no wife to go home to’

Danny Masterson’s estranged wife Bijou Phillips was seem partying in LA  just weeks after quitting scientology and days after her husband’s bail request was denied, ‘because he has no wife to go home to’.

Phillips, 43, sported a skimpy black skirt and crop top as she danced the night away at the Fleur Room lounge in West Hollywood.

She was notably free of her wedding ring once again in video taken during the night out.

Philips completed her look with a pair of black heeled ankle boots and was seen tossing her hair as she stood near the entrance to the club, where she appeared to try and beckon a male friend to come back inside.

The actress filed from divorce from her That 70s Show star husband in September after Masterson, 47, was sentenced to 30 years in jail for rape.

The actress, who once struggled with drugs and alcohol before finding sobriety, also quietly stepped away from Scientology after the controversial church’s decision to expel Masterson in the wake of his prison sentence.

Masterson now faces a 30-year to life sentence in jail without bail and is eligible for parole after 20 years.

Hi request for bail was recently denied by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo, who oversaw his trial and deemed him a flight risk.

The rejection was given partly because his ex-wife of 12 years had filed for divorce following his guilty verdict last year.

The order said: ‘In light of the fact that defendant has no wife to go home to, defendant now has every incentive to flee and little reason to return to state prison to serve out the remainder of his lengthy sentence should his appeal be unsuccessful.’

It comes after Masterson’s attorneys Clifford Gardner and Eric Multhaup wrote in a motion on January 17 asking for the court to grant the disgraced actor bail.

A jury found the actor guilty in May for two rapes committed in 2003 and was hung on a third rape charge, which prosecutors have said that they will not push further for a conviction.

At the sentencing trial, Jane Doe 1 called Masterson a ‘true coward and heartless monster,’ adding that to this day she suffer from an extreme fear of the dark and frequently wakes up crying.

Sometimes, she said, she hides in a closet or screams out the window: ‘I’m not okay.’

‘I think life is an appropriate sentence,’ she said.

Philips’ divorce filings came as a surprise to many considering she had stood by him throughout his trial.

However, sources close to the couple said that they had discussed the marriage ending.

But others told DailyMail.com that friends and family had been pushing her to consider divorce to show her daughter that ‘people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it’s someone they love.’
