The Traitors star Charlie was the latest Faithful to be ‘murdered’ on Friday night after viewers struggled to tell her apart from her lookalike Evie.

The mental health area manager, 34, was savagely killed off by Traitors Harry and Andrew in an unexpected twist after Paul was banished from the Scottish castle.

However, fans found a silver lining after her elimination as they were thankful that they will no longer get her and veterinary nurse Evie, 29, confused.

Viewers had struggled to tell the two blondes apart and likened them to twin sisters, with some even admitting they hadn’t realised the two were different people.

Taking to X – formerly known as Twitter – to react to her murder, fans joked: ‘Don’t worry Charlie, you’re not really gone. You still live on in Evie;’

‘I don’t know the difference between Charlie and Evie. And never will;’ ‘Thank god Charlie is out, now we don’t have to be confused between her and Evie;’

‘Does this mean Evie is murdered too?;’ ‘At least I can tell the difference between Charlie and Evie now.’

Charlie was left devastated to be murdered by the Traitors and appeared tearful as she shared her sorrow about not being able to say goodbye to her co-stars.

The savage murders see the Faithfuls receive a letter informing them of their murder, while their fellow contestants learn the news when they fail to show up for breakfast.

During Thursday’s episode, viewers admitted they were shocked to discover that lookalikes Charlie and Evie are actually two different people.

While one is from Bristol and the other from Inverness, fans of the popular show still couldn’t tell the difference between them and became convinced they are sisters – after a twist saw Ross and Diane reveal they are mother and son.

Fans shared their confusion over the dubbed doppelgangers to X, formerly known as Twitter, as the show starts to close in on the traitors and its nail-biting finale.

Viewers penned: ‘Diane and Ross getting away with being Mother and Son is nothing. Charlie and Evie have got away with being the same person! #Traitors’

‘Evie and charlie are literally twins #Traitors;’ ‘I’m ready for charlie , evie and mollie to go now because they’re adding nothing other than confusion as to who’s who #traitors;’

‘You mean to tell me that Evie and Charlie are TWO SEPARATE PEOPLE?’ ‘When is the reveal that Charlie and Evie are sisters? #Traitors.’

It comes after viewers were left rejoicing on Thursday night after ‘villain’ Paul was finally banished during a nail-biting round table.

Business manager Paul, 36, became notorious on the show for his ‘Oscar-worthy’ acting skills and being unafraid to throw his fellow contestants under the bus.

His actions divided viewers, with many desperate to see him found out by the Faithfuls and banished, while others praised him for providing entertainment.

However, his scheming was finally brought to an end in Thursday’s drama-packed episode after his fellow Traitor Harry unexpectedly turned on him.

Reacting to the shock banishment, viewers were quick to take to X – formerly known as Twitter – to celebrate that Paul’s ‘reign of terror’ had finally ended.

They wrote: ‘Greatest round table ever;’ ‘Paul is out! Everyone is so happy, I love it;’ ‘Paul your reign of terror is over;’ ‘Bye bye Paul xoxo;’ ‘Darth Paul’s reign of terror over the galaxy is over.’

However, other viewers heaped praise on the ‘villain’ for providing quality ‘entertainment’ on the show and insisted he was perfect casting for the Traitor role.
