The Traitors viewers were left on a tense cliffhanger in Wednesday night’s episode as Paul and Harry decided to recruit a Faithful to the dark side.

Paul and Harry were the only two Traitors left in the BBC competition after they turned on Miles and saw him banished following Diane’s ‘murder’.

Ross was left devastated after Diane was eliminated from the competition, after they revealed to viewers that they are mother and son, but are keeping their connection a secret.

Even after Diane’s ‘murder’, Ross vowed not to tell his fellow Faithfuls the truth about their relationship, and a shock twist could now see him become a new Traitor.

Paul and Harry decided to recruit another Traitor to their team rather than murder another Faithful at the end of the episode as they tactically looked towards the final.

Though Paul was at first unconvinced, Harry persuaded him to recruit another person to ensure their safety, giving them someone to throw under the bus if needed.

The episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger as they picked between Jasmine, Ross and Zack to join them on the dark side.

After sealing their name in an envelope, it remains to be seen whether the Faithful will accept the invitation to switch sides, or if they will decline the recruitment.

Ross had been playing a clever game as a Faithful alongside his mother Diane before her elimination, and he could now change sides in the intriguing twist if chosen.

Elsewhere in the episode, Miles became the second Traitor to be banished from the nail-biting game.

The shocking twist saw Paul throw Miles under the bus as he told how Diane had named Miles as her murderer after she drank from the dreaded poisoned chalice.

Diane was the latest victim to be claimed by Traitors Paul, Harry and Miles after the latter handed her the poisoned chalice in Friday’s episode, sealing her fate.

However, she wasn’t killed off straight away and the group all attended a ‘funeral’ where she was then eliminated from the show, leaving her son Ross devastated.

Suspicion then fell on Miles and Evie as they had both handed Diane a drink, and Paul used the opportunity to turn on his fellow Traitor Miles, with Harry also jumping on the bandwagon.

The tense round table saw Miles refuse to go down without a fight as he then turned on Paul, with Harry using the moment to secretly whisper to Zack his theory that they could both be Traitors.

After Miles was the second Traitor to be banished, viewers were quick to take to X – formerly known as Twitter – to root for Harry to win as they applauded him for playing an excellent game.

They wrote: ‘They’re turning on each other and I love it;’ ‘Harry is smarter than all of these put together, playing a fantastic game;’

‘Harry has got this in the bag and I’m not gonna lie I’m kinda rooting for him;’ ‘Miles said no tongue that rises against me shall prosper!!;’

‘The Traitors turning on each other, yes yes yes inject it into my veins;’ ‘Harry picked the best time to chuck Paul in too.’

The tense round table saw Paul and Miles viciously turn on each other as both of them tried to convince the Faithfuls and save their own skin.

‘I’m not going without taking you all down with me,’ Miles warned to-camera ahead of the round table as he predicted the betrayal.

Kicking off the round table, Paul led the charge as he recalled a final conversation he had with Diane and Evie, where she said Miles was the Traitor if she was ‘murdered’.

He said: ‘It is awkward Miles because I do love you […] Diane looked at me and said “if I die then it’s Miles, and if you die, then it’s Jaz”.’

But Miles cast suspicion on Paul as he said: ‘I find it a little bit ironic that this discussion is something that nobody can vouch for.’

Paul then called on Evie to back him up, but she said: ‘I never heard Diane say that.’

With Miles replying: ‘It just seems weird that the person I can’t speak to has pinned that on myself only.’

Paul continued to cast suspicion on Miles as he said: ‘She must have had a good feeling to say it.’

Putting up a good fight, Miles said that somebody was pushing for them to focus on the drinks, putting Paul under suspicion.

Paul then confidently vowed: ‘If Miles is Faithful and gets up there, then banish me tomorrow.’

After Paul led the charge for Miles, Harry said it was a ‘smart move’ for him to also go for Miles, but also used the moment at the round table to cast suspicion on them both.

He secretly whispered to Zack: ‘Do you reckon it’s two Traitors going after each other?’

Zack then voiced the theory to the group, saying: ‘It’s a Traitor move, sell somebody out when it’s convenient,’ with Harry remaining out of the limelight on the remark.

The group eventually all voted Miles out, with Paul narrowly surviving another round table, despite repeatedly being brought up as a suspect.

Upon his exit, Miles said: ‘What an amazing journey we’ve had. I’ve made some friends for life, actually, and I’m excited to see my babies. I am in fact, a Traitor.’

Diane’s son Ross gushed: ‘Diane, what a legend!’ after she solved her own ‘murder’, with Paul bursting into tears in an ‘Oscar-worthy performance’ as the group praised him for catching another Traitor.

Though Paul survived the round table, Harry continued to voice his theory secretly to Faithfuls, telling Jasmine: ‘I think it was a war between two Traitors we’ve just witnessed.’
