Josh Duhamel and his much-younger wife Audra Mari revealed the happy news that they had welcomed their first child together on Tuesday.
The 51-year-old Shotgun Wedding star and the model — who at 30 is two decades his junior — shared a sweet black-and-white photo of their new son’s feet to Instagram to break the news.
The kept the details minimal, revealing in the caption that the baby boy was named Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel and had been born on January 11 of this year.
This is the first child for Audra and the second for Josh, who already shares his 10-year-old son Axl with his ex-wife Fergie, 48, of the Black Eyed Peas.
The actor revealed back in September of 2023 that he and his second wife were expecting their first child.

Audra shared another lovely photo of the baby boy to her Instagram Stories.
The black-and-white image appeared to show him wearing a checker-print cardigan while his little hand rested on his stomach.
Shortly after announcing that they were expecting their first child, Josh shared what his son Axl’s reaction was to the news that he was going to have a new brother.
‘He’s excited about it but he’s just got a lot of questions. He’s like, “Wait, now, am I going to be — You’re still going to love me, though, too, right?”‘ Duhamel revealed to Parade.
‘I was like, “Of course I’m going to still going to love you.” And he’s like, “I’m still going to be your firstborn son, though, right?” I’m like, ‘Yeah, you’re still the firstborn son!”‘ he continued with a laugh.
‘He’s like, “Am I gonna be able to teach him all the stuff that I know?” Yes, please do, I want you to teach him all… well almost everything you know,’ Duhamel joked.
He said that Axl ‘love babies,’ and he noted that he ‘was the same way at his age.’
‘I just have always loved babies,’ he admitted. ‘There’s something about them. And he’s really good with younger kids. So I think he’s going to be a great older brother.’
Josh and Audra began their relationship in late 2018, and he announced his engagement to her in January of 2022.
They were married on September 10 of that year, and just one year and one day later they revealed that they were expecting their first child together.

In a joint Instagram post, they wrote, ‘Baby Duhamel coming soon,’ along with a sonogram of the fetus.
Josh’s ex Fergie made it clear she was on good terms with them by commenting, ‘I am truly happy for you guys’ while adding a smiling emoji with hearts.
‘Axl can’t wait to be a big brother,’ she added to her comment, which received thousands of likes.
Shortly after the announcement, Josh discussed his ex’s sweet comment on The Jess Cagle Show.
After Cagle said it was refreshing to see, ‘exes who have kids being supportive of each other, acting like adults, which, oddly, I noticed it because you don’t see that a lot.’
Josh replied: ‘Fergie is an amazing woman. She really is. And she’s taken Audra in, you know, and it could be much worse.
‘That’s the thing, you never know how these things are gonna go, but because she’s such a kind-hearted person, she really, truly is,’ he added.
‘She only has love for Audra and is excited as well, I can’t believe how excited she is for us. You know, it’s a, like I said, it could be a lot worse, and I’ve seen it. I’ve lived it. And, uh, thankfully we have a really civil situation,’ he said.
Josh and Fergie had been together for years. They began dating in 2004 and got engaged in 2007 before marrying two years later.
The entertainer couple welcomed Axl in 2013. They subsequently split in 2017 but didn’t file for divorce until 2019, and it was completed later in the year.
After he began dating Audra, Josh made a December 2018 appearance on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast in which he signaled that he didn’t want to stop at just one child.
‘I’m not 30 years old anymore. I’m 45. I want to have more kids in the next few years,’ he declared.
One year and one day later, they announced Audra’s pregnancy with a sonogram of the fetus, captioning it: ‘Baby Duhamel coming soon.’ Josh’s ex Fergie even congratulated them
Fergie commented, ‘I am truly happy for you guys. Axl can’t wait to be a big brother,’ with Duhamel reacting to her reaction on The Jess Cagle Show

‘It’s more about finding someone young enough to have kids. It’s not as if I’m out there trying to just f*** anything. That’s not who I am,’ he said. ‘I’m trying to find a girl that I can be with and have a family with.’
In settling on Shepherd Lawrence as a name for their son, Josh and Audra unfortunately had to turn down Axl’s very helpful suggestion of a baby name.
‘Him and Audra have this thing where they like to say the word “Gary.” It’s weird,’ Josh told ET, admitting that he wasn’t crazy about the name
