BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent enjoyed a luxurious holiday to the Maldives after Christmas where she soaked up the sun ahead of a new year.
The broadcaster, 52, took a two-week break from the show, with her co-star Jon Kay, 54, fronting the programme with stand in presenters such as Sarah Campbell.
Sally shared a series of snaps to her Instagram of the trip as she told how she was soon heading back to work for a ‘busy 2024’.
In one looked stylish in a blue dress as the ocean stretched out behind her, while another saw her strolling along the sand in a white and black kaftan.
She penned in the caption: ‘Home from a dreamy holiday and excited to get back to work. We’ve got a busy 2024 for you! See @bbcbreakfast soon.’

Sally also shared beautiful scenery shots of the clear blue waters and stunning nature.
It comes after Sally was forced to host BBC Breakfast by herself on New Year’s Day – just ahead of the holiday leaving the sofa looking rather empty without a usual co-star.
She most commonly fronts the morning news show with Jon from Monday to Wednesday.
However, for the New Year’s Day programme on the Monday, neither Jon nor any of the alternative male presenters such as Ben Thompson were anywhere to be seen to make a typical duo.
Going solo, Sally’s brief covered a range of topics from the earthquake in Japan, to the latest on the war in Ukraine and the conflict between Israel and Gaza.
The journalist was not totally alone, with colleagues on hand for the usual sport, weather and business bulletins.
Ben Boulos was in the studio to discuss the latest from the city and the energy price cap, John Watson was also on hand with the latest sports news and Matt Taylor with the weather.
They were rewarded for their work over the New Year with kind messages from loyal viewers perhaps fighting off hangovers in front of the early programming.
