Two teenage boys have died and a 17-year-old driver is fighting for his life after their car smashed into a power pole while on the way home from the gym. 

Emergency services rushed to Windsor Road in Mcgraths Hill, 53km north west of Sydney, at about 9.40pm on Monday following reports of a car crash.

Matthew Simpson and Addison Bhimjiani, both 17-years-old, were passengers in the Nissan 200SX and died at the scene when the car veered off the road and smashed into a power pole. 

The driver, P-plater Caleb Nolan who is also 17-years-old, was treated by paramedics for chest and internal injuries at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital.

Addison Bhimjiani’s younger sister Brielle broke her silence about the tragic accident in a heartfelt Instagram story on Tuesday morning.

‘Fly high to my big brother I love you so much I wish I could hug you one last time or see your smile I will never forget you were such an amazing person,’ she wrote.

‘Thank you for the time I had with you no words describe how much my heart aches, knowing you’re not here to laugh and talk to.

‘I will miss you forever.’

She posted photos of them when they were children, adding: ‘Your smile could make me laugh in the saddest times I wish you were here to make me smile still.’

Mr Simpson’s friend also posted a tribute to Instagram on Tuesday: ‘Rest easy Matty, I love you buddy.’

Police were told the crash happened when the Nissan 200SX sedan allegedly collided with a Ford Falcon before veering off the road and hitting into the pole.

Crash Investigation Unit officers have established a crime scene and are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Witnesses said the Nissan was hit by the Ford while it was turning out of a side street, which caused it to lose control

‘They weren’t racing or anything like that,’ a witness told the Daily Telegraph.

A friend of the teens said the trio were heading home from a training session at the gym when the crash happened. 

Police said the Ford driver ‘stopped and rendered assistance’, calling emergency services while trying to help the three teens.  

He was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
