An Italian-n writer has savaged an Instagram influencer just days after she was embroiled in a bitter online war of words with feminist author Clementine Ford.

Antonella Gambotto-Burke tore apart Ford’s newly released I Don’t: The Case Against Marriage in a recent piece for The Weekend n.

The pair have since exchanged barbs on Instagram, with Ford calling the reviewer ‘Gamblotto-nobody’, and Gambotto-Burke dubbing Ford ‘mullet Barbie’.

Now Gambotto-Burke has taken aim at mummy blogger Constance Hall with a no-holds barred broadside – even taking aim at her appearance – after she says Hall branded her a boomer and a troll.

In a brutal attack on Instagram, Gambotto-Burke said she couldn’t care less about Hall’s vocal support for Palestine, but attacked her claims of truth-telling.

‘You want the truth?’ she posted below a screengrab of Hall’s story calling out social media boomers trolling her.

‘You’re an inarticulate, overweight single mother with bad hair, bad taste, bad tattoos, and too many kids.’

She said Hall was ‘looking for love and trying to make a living flogging badly-designed swimwear’.

Gambotto-Burke said Hall’s followers may abandon her ‘if you fail to entertain them with delusional narratives about your importance to the Palestinian cause and unresearched gossip.’

She added: ‘Your private life really didn’t turn out the way you wanted it to, and you redirect all these unsavoury frustrations at Jews to make yourself feel better.

‘You are not sufficiently intelligent to understand the ramifications of your words; you think that by playing the fool your bigotry can be reframed as comedy, but it’s not funny.

‘Gaza is a tragedy for all concerned, not fodder for jokes.

‘Love, The Boomer – NB I’m Gen X, not a boomer. Get it right.’

Hall later hit back to insist she was still with her partner, Denim, despite Gambotto-Burke’s claims they had split, and slammed the writer for trying to wreck her life.

‘I’ve tried and tried and tried to not let this woman and her friends get to me,’ posted Hall. ‘But sometimes it just gets too hard.

‘I’m already barely keeping my head above water most days without their constant harassment.

‘How do I deserve to be called a fat single mum and my kids to be brought into it?

‘How is this okay coming from a public figure who writes for The n and is followed by other public figures that I used to look up to?

‘When did trying to destroy a woman become not just tolerated but celebrated?’

She added: ‘Is this what you wanted Antonella? Do you feel better knowing that your words are affecting me?’

The row divided followers, with some saying Gambotto-Burke had simply written what they were all thinking, while others said she went too far.

‘I had no idea this level of schoolyard bullying still existed among grown women, until I saw this post,’ posted one.

‘Stooping to the level of insulting a woman’s appearance … says far more about you than it does about them.’

But another insisted: ‘I can’t stop laughing at your description. We’ve all thought it and you, my gorgeous new friend, had the guts to say it.’

One gasped: ‘Wow this is so nasty and cruel! But it’s also true so…’

The brutal online battle comes after Gambotto-Burke traded verbal blows with arch feminist Ford just before Christmas.

Their messages have included Ford mocking the freelance writer and musician’s dance moves and Gambotto-Burke referring to her own partner’s ‘massive c***’.

Gambotto-Burke wrote in her review of I Don’t that Ford ‘displays a deep, sustained, and ugly rage against men, which she justifies as an appropriate reaction to misogyny… ‘

‘While there is no question that some of the points she makes in I Don’t: The Case Against Marriage are accurate, the degree of disgust she expresses for men is more than disturbing; it should be illegal.’

But Gambotto-Burke’s criticism of I Don’t was not confined to Ford’s unfavourable opinions of most men and marriage.

She noted Ford had recently condemned ‘Zionist women’ as ‘enthusiastic supporters of a murderous regime that has been killing children for over 70 years’.

Ford has regularly posted messages of support for Palestinians as they face retribution for the terrorist group Hamas’s surprise October 7 attack on Israel.

After Gambotto-Burke received online abuse from some of Ford’s fans, the UK-based journalist and sometime singer-songwriter hit back.

‘Disagree with the openly man-hating Ford and she and her ideological cronies line up to destroy you – and if they can’t do that, they’ll just publicly abuse you,’ Gambotto-Burke wrote on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Ford suggested her views on the Israel-Gaza conflict could have influenced Nova Entertainment’s decision to cancel her ‘Dear Clementine’ podcast.

An online petition calling for I Don’t’s publisher Allen & Unwin to cut ties with the former Nine columnist has gained more than 2,700 signatures.

Gambotto-Burke’s latest book is titled Apple: Sex, Drugs, Motherhood and the Recovery of the Feminine.

Ford was written three previous works: Fight Like a Girl, Boys Will Be Boys and How We Love.

Gambotto-Burke described Ford in her review of I Don’t as ‘a queer, bleached-blonde agony aunt whose father ran for One Nation in Queensland’.

Her new polemic was ‘little more than a celebration’ of Ford’s separation from her son’s father, rather than a true study of marriage.

‘Like all extremists, she is not only immature but almost entirely self-involved,’ Gambotto-Burke wrote.

‘While Ford happily shares grotesque male violence visuals, she consistently fails to present the big picture.’

Gambotto-Burke reminded readers of Ford’s 2020 tweet, ‘Honestly, the coronavirus isn’t killing men fast enough,’ and quoted her signing a book in 2017 with the inscription, ‘Have you killed any men today? And if not, why not?’

In an Instagram response to one of Antonella Gambotto-Burke’s posts, Clementine Ford mocked the author for ‘bragging about her boyfriend’s massive c***’

‘Imagine, if you will, if the same comments were made of women,’ Gambotto-Burke wrote. ‘Imagine, if you will, how her son may feel on reading her words as a man.’

Gambotto-Burke went on to explain why she had accepted her ‘muscular, heavily tattooed, martial artist, record producer’ boyfriend’s marriage proposal.

‘I accepted in part because he understands that Hamas is a terrorist organisation,’ she wrote.

An extract of that section of the review was posted on social media by LGBTIQ activist Sally Rugg with the sarcastic comment, ‘Before I say yes, do you condemn Hamas?’

Ford put Rugg’s post on Instagram with the remark: ‘@sally_rugg you kill me!! Also, Antonella whatsherface is 58 years old. Imagine living that long and still bragging about your “muscular, heavily tattooed, martial artist, record producer”.’

Gambotto-Burke responded to Ford with this: ‘@clementine_ford I’m actually 354 years old and the truth of the matter is that I simply love his massive c***’.

‘Out of curiosity, are you setting up the alternative One Nation? #mulletbarbie.’

The feud has continued with Ford posting a clip of Gambotto-Burke singing and dancing with the caption: 'And here she is in one of the most embarrassing things I've ever seen in my life'

Ford, 41, reposted those words with the reply: ‘I’ve just heard Antonella “who?” Gamblotto-nobody is writing an article about me for The n tomorrow… ‘

‘Anyway, here she is bragging about her boyfriend’s massive c*** like a normal person with healthy self esteem.’

Gambotto-Burke, on Instagram again, responded: ‘All the hair bleach, pale pink lipstick, and flatteringly blurred portraiture in the universe will never hide your putrid nature, Ford.’

In one of Gambotto-Burke’s latest posts, she states publication of her feature story on Ford has been delayed. If and when it appears, expect more dueling insults.
