South Korea’s opposition party chief Lee Jae-myung was attacked during a visit to the southern port city of Busan on Tuesday.
The 59-year-old politician had been touring the construction site of a new airport on Gadeok Island when he was stabbed in neck during a question and answer session with reporters.
Lee’s condition is unkown, although a photo showed him on the ground with a blood-stained handkerchief covering the wound.
The assailant is reported to have been arrested at the scene, the Yonhap news agency reported
