Fireman who drove an HOUR to return lost handbag poses for touching photo with woman who left her item at Xmas party

A fireman who drove an hour to return a lost handbag has posed for a touching photo with the woman who left her item at a Christmas party.

Footage posted on TikTok this week shows firefighter Nyma Zadeh, who returned a bag he found at a petrol station in North London by driving all the way to Hertfordshire.

The doorbell camera video showed Nyma, who describes himself as an Iranian Scouser on Instagram, approach a door at night. ‘I’ve got your bag. Are you Georgia?,’ he asked.

Georgia Gerrelli quickly confirmed it was her bag and said she had been ‘crying her eyes out’ over losing it.

She has now met her hero in person and the two posed for a heart-warming picture together.

Georgia, who works as an aesthetic practitioner, said after meeting Nyma: ‘Probably one of the nicest [people] I have ever got to meet, thank you Nyma for coming down.

‘It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you in person, I will be forever grateful.’

Georgia had lost her bag following a Christmas party by her employer Bows Boutique, who shared the doorbell footage that has been watched by millions already.

Nyma said he was going to wait until the next morning to return the bag, but remembered how stressed his ex girlfriend was when she had lost hers and decided to bring it to Georgia right away in the early hours on Monday.

Georgia repeatedly offered to give him money for returning her bag, but humble Nyma refused.

‘Just pay it forward. Just do something nice for the next person,’ he said. ‘I’m a firefighter, I don’t need money for doing a good deed.’

Nyma was initially identified as the man in the video by one of his friends, who commented: ‘This is a mate of mine. This is him all over, such a caring man.’

Another friend, fellow firefighter Seb who works at the same station, said he would like to request that Nyma is recommended for his kind actions.

The doorbell camera footage was posted by a fashion retailer called Bows Boutique, who revealed employee Georgia had lost her bag after attending the company’s Christmas party.

‘It’s safe to say [Nyma] was the hero and we are all at Bows so grateful for making our girl so happy.

‘How amazing is this to do and a huge thank you,’ the fashion store wrote on TikTok.

The company also posted the picture of Georgia meeting Nyma in person this week.

‘We made it happen! Nyma came to Borehamwood today and met [Georgia]… He is such a genuine kind man, it was an absolute pleasure to meet him,’ Bows Boutique captioned the post.

‘His video’s had millions of views and we hope he will be a positive influence on many… What a true gentleman.’

The grateful owner donated £250 to the Fire Fighters Charity to thank Nyma, according to Clare Delaney, who works for the charity.
