A YouTube megastar with over 40 million subscribers went on a tour with a young Democratic congressman on Monday before a mob of his fans arrived.

Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known online as iShowSpeed, received a Capitol tour from Florida Democratic Rep. Max Frost, 28, the youngest serving lawmaker in Congress.

Speed, known for his online livestreams with celebrities and online personalities, is currently undertaking a 35-day streaming challenge.

The gregarious streamer from Cincinnati, Ohio, has made videos with world-renowned athletes like Tom Brady and Cristiano Ronaldo, and musical artists like Lil Wayne and Travis Scott.

His visit with Frost is one of the first political features Speed has delivered to his over 100 million followers across TikTok, YouTube, Twitch and more. It’s unclear how the pair first connected and it appears to be the creator’s first U.S. political interview.

Neither Frost’s office nor Speed’s team responded to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.

Frost was seen in the video showing the 20-year-old YouTuber around his congressional office and later through the U.S. Capitol and its basement.

He also shows off the cafeterias of the Capitol complex and famous artworks around the historic halls and corridors of the sprawling marble masterpiece.

‘This right here is the center of Washington, D.C.,’ Frost told Speed while highlighting the center point of the U.S. Capitol.

‘They call it the crypt,’ Frost said. ‘And right on top of us is the dome.’

Repeatedly throughout the visit, Frost urged speed to vote.

‘You vote? You registered to vote?’ the lawmaker asked the streamer.

‘Uh, I’m from Portugal,’ the content creator responded, despite having a documented record of living in Ohio.

The stilted answer may have been a way to avoid a longer political conversation with the young Democrat about his voter registration and voting history.

‘Well, it’s good you’re encouraging your viewers to vote,’ Frost said.

During the visit, Frost was denied entry to some politically sensitive areas that restrict filming, like the House’s Speaker’s Lobby.

‘Stuff is crazy right now in D.C. Have you seen all the military and police and stuff?’ the Democrat asked about Trump’s recent federalization of district police.

‘Yes!’ Speed shot back without elaborating.

Once the tour began wrapping up, the lawmaker and the viral sensation headed to the steps right next to the House floor – the exit where legislators frequently flow out of after casting their final votes of the week.

Videos show a massive crowd cheering on Speed once stepping foot outside.

Several dozen supporters, presumably some of whom were following along with the livestream, had gathered outside the Capitol to cheer on their favorite creator.

Waving to the crowd for a minute, Frost and Speed took in the adoration before being whisked away by their large security detail.

Speed began telling the crowd to go to a voting registration site repeatedly as they yelled in response.

Capitol Police were on the scene to respond to the crowd, typically larger than what the force may expect to deal with on a federal holiday.

The security had to accompany the creator to his car door as fans, many filming on their phones, cheered and yelled out to Speed.

After a whirlwind tour and a debut into politics, the creator was off to continue his 35-day challenge.
