Some famous faces are rewriting the rules on beauty and body image by removing their breast implants.
From Victoria Beckham to Pamela Anderson, a wave of A-listers are saying goodbye to their surgically enhanced curves and opting for a more natural look.
The former Spice Girl, 51, famously denied having implants for years, before eventually coming clean and quietly removing them, drastically reinventing her look.
Meanwhile, Baywatch star Pamela, 58, Chrissy Teigen, 39, SZA, 35, and Imogen Thomas , 42, and others have all spoken candidly about removing their implants.
For some stars it was about reclaiming control of their bodies after years of public scrutiny and pressure.
For others, it was a health-driven decision spurred by pain, risk of breast cancer or discomfort.
Whatever the reason, one thing is clear, the era of the ‘boob job’ is being re-evaluated and unapologetically reversed.
From Victoria to Chrissy, read below about the stars who have decided to reverse their boob jobs and why…

Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham reportedly had her first breast reduction procedure in 2009, apparently taking them from an artificial 34DD to a slightly more natural 34B.
She then appeared to have reverted back to the original 34A size she displayed as a Spice Girl in the 1990s back in 2013.
In 2014, the singer-turned-fashion designer revealed that she had the implants removed thought it’s not exactly clear when it happened.
In 2023, she opened up about her past cosmetic procedures as she admitted she regretted her boob job.
The former Spice Girl previously denied that she had undergone plastic surgery after she suddenly transformed from her natural 34A to a 34DD overnight but came clean in 2017.
Speculation that she had gone under the knife to enhance her cleavage first began in the 1990s, before her biographer Andrew Morton revealed the star visited a London clinic for breast implants following the birth of her first son, Brooklyn, in 1999.
Speaking to Allure magazine in 2023, the mother-of-four admitted she regretted her implants, but still feels she cannot speak openly about them with her 14-year-old daughter Harper.

According to her biographer, the initial enhancement surgery nearly 15 years ago set her back £10,000 and in 2001 it was reported she had a second operation to enlarge her bust size to 34DD (pictured in 2007)
She said: ‘If I’m honest, I wish I’d never [gotten implants]. It was a moment in time, and I think I can share my experiences with her,’ before adding, ‘But we’re not there just yet.’
In 2014, Victoria discussed her fake boobs with the magazine as she confessed: ‘I don’t have them any more. I think I may have purchased them.’
According to her biographer, the initial enhancement surgery nearly 15 years ago set her back £10,000 and in 2001 it was reported she had a second operation to enlarge her bust size to 34DD.
The designer is said to have had her first boob job in 1999, followed by another in 2006, before finally getting them reduced in 2009 and telling US Vogue, ‘Torpedo bazookas, gone!’
Publicly, Victoria previously always denied going under the knife and in September 2001, she insisted her inflated look was down to tape and push-up bras.
In an interview with Piers Morgan for the BBC’s Tabloid Tales in April 2003, she said: ‘I’m completely natural, except for my fingernails and I have a bit of help with my hair and a bit of a St Tropez [fake tan] going on.’
However, in 2005 the fashionista’s lawyers admitted that the denials were untrue and that she ‘had in fact undergone breast enhancement surgery’.
Victoria herself has also admitted to cringing at photos showing her inflated bust. She once told an interviewer: ‘I’ve worn so many dresses in the past and when I see the photographs I think, crikey, my boobs are up round my neck again.’

In a resurfaced letter that the singer-turned designer penned to her younger self for British Vogue in 2017, she expresses regret at her decision, warning: ‘I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs.’ (pictured in 2022)

‘All those years I denied it – stupid. A sign of insecurity. Just celebrate what you’ve got,’ she added.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson has made major waves in recent years surrounding her make-under as well as her repeated refusal to wear makeup on the red carpet following the death of her longtime makeup artist.
One major reason the former Baywatch babe, 58, appears to look so different from her former bombshell self is because she removed her implants.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Rukmini Rednam, based in Houston Texas, agreed and told DailyMail.com: ‘In the ’90s Pamela Anderson was very known for her full bust, after she downsized her volume it certainly gave her a different look and put more emphasis on her other features rather than just one aspect of her body.’
The Barb Wire star has been open about her plastic surgery journey and subsequent regrets – and now, she’s all natural.
Pam famously increased her bust size from a 34C to a 34DD and later removed her implants in 1999 to embrace a more natural look.

Pamela revealed getting breast implants was her number one cosmetic procedure regret.
She previously pointed directly to her chest when asked if she regretted any decisions made ‘in the name of beauty.’
‘Not that we need to point it out,’ the Baywatch star said, rolling her eyes in a 2016 W magazine interview.
‘It’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and I’m very happy with my decision,’ she shared following the procedure to remove her breast implants to the Chicago Tribune.
SZA
In May 2024, US singer-songwriter SZA spoke openly about her experience with breast implants – and the serious health issues that drove her to have them removed.
The five-time Grammy award-winning artist, who hails from St Louis, Missouri, explained that, due to her family history, she had a 53 per cent risk of developing breast cancer over her lifetime.
During an appearance on the SHE MD podcast with Mary Alice Haney and board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist Dr Thais Aliabadi’s, SZA admitted that she was never meant to have breast implants.

She said: ‘I got way too much scar tissue because my breasts are too dense, and I’m not supposed to have breast implants.’
While her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and aunt underwent a mastectomy, the singer, 35, said that she didn’t initially understand the risks associated with breast implants.
‘When I got my boobs done, my doctor took out some of my fibrosis, but there was so much fibrosis, it was crazy,’ SZA said. ‘And he took it out. And so, when I went back, a lot of the concerns were gone.’
She continued: ‘I like seeing somebody spiritual about it, specifically the breast cancer situation and the marker before I had the results of the biopsy and all that, I had talked to somebody, because I was like, I got to figure out what’s going on in the higher realms.’
The performer confessed that she was supposed to see Dr Aliabadi before getting her implants due to her higher risk of breast cancer, but opted to just quietly get the procedure anyway.
‘I have markers in my breast, like metal markers in my breast for these fibrosis, for these lumps or whatever, I’m not supposed to be getting breast implants,’ SZA explained.
Due to her fibrosis, SZA said the implants ‘ended up hurting’ her.
‘I got way too much scar tissue because my breasts are too dense and I’m not supposed to have breast implants. And so I ended up getting extra fibrosis like with tissue, whatever, and I didn’t feel good and it was painful. So, I took them out, and now, they’re just my boobs,’ she told listeners.

However years later, she claimed that motherhood changed her perspective on cosmetic surgery.
‘You have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate, and now I am screwed,’ she joked about her breasts in an interview with Glamour.
‘I did my boobs when I was about 20 years old,’ she previously told Glamour UK. ‘It was more for a swimsuit thing. I thought, if I’m going to be posing, laid on my back, I want them to be perky!’
She explained: ‘Honestly, I kept them the same cup size. I just filled them out, so they are rounder and firmer.’
In July 2020, the mother-of-four shared a series of graphic images of herrecent breast implant removal surgery, after a number of followers doubted she ‘really’ underwent the procedure.
As the 39-year-old Cravings author noticed an influx in skepticism among her massive following, she shut down any disbelief with a graphic snap of her chest on the operating table and a new video.
‘A few of my friends keep having to tell people that I really got my implants out, because nobody believes it. Here are the scars,’ the former Sports Illustrated model said.

While displaying her body confidence, the mother showed the evident scars on her breasts, which appeared along the incision sites from her original breast augmentation surgery.
In a previous exchange with one fan online, who noted she has been looking bustier than ever, Teigen quipped: ‘I swear to you I do not understand how they’re bigger haha I think it’s the fact they went up like 5 inches and consolidated.’

Imogen Thomas
Former Big Brother star Imogen Thomas revealed she had had her breast implants removed and undergone an uplift this week – making it her third boob job – after asking fans to decide in an online poll.
The model and TV personality, 42, took to Instagram on Thursday, August 28, to share a health update after she went under the knife once again.
While Imogen had previously hinted that she was going to have her breasts further enlarged, the majority of her fans told her to reduce her bust when asked for their opinion.
Imogen previously had her breasts increased from a size 34C to a size 34E.

Sharing an update from Turkey where she’s recovering from the recent surgery, the ex-glamour model revealed she is yet to see the results.
Imogen told fans: ‘Success. I’m recovering RN. I haven’t seen the results yet so stay tuned. But my day was so smooth and extremely organised.
‘Thank you @dr.salihonurbasat for making me feel at ease. I can’t wait to see the results.’
Alongside the update, Imogen posted footage of her experience, showing her preparing to head for the clinic that morning.
Once she arrived at the hospital, a doctor could be seen marking her breasts ahead of the operation.
At the end of the clip, Imogen gave a thumbs up to the camera while revealing the significant bandages on her chest.
Fans flooded her with supportive messages as she heals, with one writing: ‘Good for you doing what makes you happy. Glad all well, take it easy.’
A second said: ‘Omg been thinking of you, glad it went well. Speedy recovery.’ ‘So glad you’re okay. Speedy recovery’, said a third.

In a previous interview with The Mirror, Imogen admitted she doesn’t pay for her surgeries and instead offers her surgeons ‘collaborations’ on social media (pictured in 2025)
On Monday, Imogen revealed to fans she had flown to Istanbul for the procedure, admitting how her breasts had become ‘too big’ for her.
She said: ‘I cannot wait, my boobs right now are really big for me. I’ve lost quite a bit of weight and I just can’t have this anymore. So I found the best surgeon in Istanbul’.
In a previous interview with The Mirror, Imogen admitted she doesn’t pay for her surgeries and instead offers her surgeons ‘collaborations’ on social media.
She went on to say: ‘I’m doing a lot of reformer Pilates, and when I do that I feel top heavy, and I’ve had a lot of lower back pain. They are quite big, so I would like to have a reduction.’
Ashley Tisdale
In August 2020, Ashley Tisdale revealed that she had her breast implants removed to better her health.
The High School Musical actress said in a candid Instagram post that she underwent the procedure after struggling with ‘minor health issues.’ The implants were put in place ‘years ago,’ she also noted at the time.
The performer, now 40, was seen on a beach in a pink floral bikini that highlighted her new figure after having the implants removed.

In August 2020, Ashley revealed that she had her breast implants removed to better her health
She addressed the topic head-on in a lengthy caption to her post. ‘Hey guys, this is probably the most personal post I’ve ever shared. As you know, I’ve been very open about my mental health journey and feel that this is equally important,’ said Ashley.
She then volunteered personal information that she had never spoken about before: ‘Years ago I underwent breast enhancement surgery.’
Ashley went on to tackle her body confidence issues, saying: ‘Prior to the surgery, I constantly felt my body was less than, and thought this change would make me feel more whole and more secure about myself. And for a short period of time…it did.’
Then ‘minor health issues’ crept up on her, leaving Ashley feeling that things were ‘not adding up.’ The star said she had ‘food sensitivities as well as gut issues’ before adding that she thought her poor health could have been caused by her implants.
‘So, last winter I decided to undergo implant removal,’ she said. ‘This journey has been one of growth, self discovery, self acceptance and most importantly self-love.
‘This picture above was taken two months after my explant surgery and I think you can tell just how happy I am to finally be fully me.’
She added that ‘over the years I’ve met with many holistic and non-holistic doctors’ and has learned the importance of ‘living a non-toxic life.’
The singer continued: ‘I’m super excited to share with you what I’ve learned thus far, and would love for you to take this journey with me by following @frenshe, where we take an honest approach to our well-being and openly speak to health, beauty and everything in between.
‘I can’t say I’m the proudest of the choices I made in the past but I don’t regret it because it got me here today. Love you all!’
Michelle Visage

Michelle Visage, who had the initial cosmetic procedure for bigger breasts when she was just 21, admitted she’d gone under the knife after years of feeling ‘shame and ridicule’ for her small chest (pictured in 2023)

Last month, Michelle declared herself ‘flat and proud’ as she finally embraced her natural figure, six years after having her breast implants removed for health reasons
Last month, Michelle Visage declared herself ‘flat and proud’ as she finally embraced her natural figure, six years after having her breast implants removed for health reasons.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race judge, 56, stunned in a sheer gown in a snap shared to Instagram on July 18 with only sequinned modesty patches covering her nipples.
Michelle, who had the initial cosmetic procedure for bigger breasts when she was just 21, admitted she’d gone under the knife after years of feeling ‘shame and ridicule’ for her small chest.
In the lengthy caption she penned: ‘I wish I had the hindsight to have loved my body when I was a young girl… The truth is, and you may have heard my story before: I was made fun of by many boyfriends and friends in general for being flat chested’.
‘Also reading through my father‘s nudie magazines and not seeing myself represented, I felt inferior and not lovable, attractive or feminine in any way without having big beasts or, for that matter, any real breasts at all’.
Michelle continued: ‘Having my explant for my health in 2019 was a body revolution for myself and my inner child who needed to be validated that she was beautiful from the start. Always has been always will be.
‘I never would’ve worn this dress back then for fear of shame and ridicule. You may think it’s too much or too revealing or too gauche, but today I celebrate this dress and the body in it that I’ve worked hard to achieve’.
Before adding: ‘Yes little Michelle, you are loved. Thanks for reading my vent!’.
Former Strictly star Michelle previously revealed that she’d suffered hair loss and ‘panic attacks’ due to an illness she battled for years due to her breast implants.
She was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disease in which the thyroid gland is gradually destroyed and can cause symptoms including weight gain, depression and general pain.
Michelle underwent a breast augmentation when she was 21 and became convinced that the surgery was the cause behind a number of unexplained symptoms she had.
Speaking about her battle with the disease, Michelle said: ‘My skin was crackly dry and my hair was falling out in clumps. I was also having hardcore panic attacks.
‘My journey goes back to me getting breast implants at the age of 21. My body couldn’t fight off the attacker because it was there 24 hours a day, seven days a week.’
Michelle’s concerns that her symptoms were due to her breast implants were not confirmed by her doctor so she carried out her own research.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK judge had her implants removed 30 years after getting them and said her ‘thyroid nodule has gone down’ since.
She said: ‘So I found a Facebook group where over 50,000 women who had the same symptoms from their breast implants and started a documentary on my journey with Breast Implant Illness, before getting them removed.’
