Deal Or No Deal star Stevie became the latest star to walk away with the biggest prize since the show was rebooted in recent weeks.

Viewers of the show praised the truck driver from Scotland as they said he made the ‘right decision’ after he chose to stick with the bank’s offer of £24,600.

Stevie settled for a ‘deal’ despite still being in with a chance of taking home £75,000.

It was a rollercoaster of a round for the contestant after the top prize of £100,000 was ruled out early in the game.

After the biggest offer was wiped out, Stevie enjoyed an up and down round, including being offered just £900 at one point by the Banker.

Hoping to pay for his wedding with his girlfriend of 10 years as well as a family holiday he was left desperate for the cash.

With just three boxes left in play – £750, £10,000 and £75,000 – he accepted a whopping offer of £24,600 from the Banker.

Members of the audience watched through their hands and many expressed a sigh of relief when Stevie decided to take home the money.

Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, to express their happiness for the contestant.

One viewer wrote: ‘Huge well done Stevie on dealing on a massive £24,600 that is such a lot of money and now the highest winner of #DealOrNoDeal so far :)’.

Another added: ‘Don’t regret it. £24,600 is a phenomenal amount of money’.

A third quipped: ‘AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH. He had £75k sitting there. Ouch. But £24,600 is still a great amount of money & as mentioned already, Stevie is the biggest winner of the series so far’.

A fourth added: ‘The offer would have been £49k had Stevie not dealt! But £24,600 is still a very good amount’.

Reflecting on the week, another added: ‘What an emotional roller coaster this week on #DealOrNoDeal Tears yesterday for Brad’s story & c**p game.

‘Then Stevie’s good deal today!! Feel slightly stupid for shouting at the tele & clapping, but it’s hard not to get involved, particularly with @StephenMulhern in charge!!’

It comes after it was revealed earlier on Saturday that contestant Brad Wale has had more than £30,000 raised for him since revealing his terminal health diagnosis on the ITV show.

Contestant Brad, from Bridgnorth, Shropshire, left viewers emotional after he broke down in tears while discussing his Motor Neurone Disease (MND) diagnosis with host Stephen Mulhern in Thursday’s episode.

The terminal disease affects the motor nerves which eventually degenerate and die, making the muscles weaker and weaker, eventually leading to a paralysis.

Brad was on the show trying to raise money for his family and to achieve his bucket list goals, however he sadly walked away with just £5 after a devastating turn in the ‘gut-wrenching’ episode, with viewers sharing their sympathy for him.

But after the episode aired, his Deal Or No Deal co-star Rochelle Hughes set up a fundraiser in a bid to help Brad achieve his goals, and it has already raked in an impressive £30,000 from kind-hearted viewers.
