Kailyn Lowry has bid farewell to a facial feature that plagued her for years.
The Teen Mom star, 33, who split from her fiancé Elijah Scott about six weeks ago, shared highlights on social media Sunday about the recent procedure to eliminate her double chin.
Sharing a series of snaps and video clips, the reality star called it ‘A scrapbook of saying goodbye to my double chin✌.’
Earlier this month, Lowry had told listeners during her and Lindsey Chrisley’s Coffee Convos podcast ‘I’m really excited to have a snatched jawline.’
In her new clip she sat in her hospital bed in a gown and head covering ahead of the procedure, telling the camera ‘rest in peace to my double chin.’
Another clip shows Pittsburgh plastic surgeon Dr. Tina Ho, making pre-operative marks on her face.
Post procedure Lowry shared a video snippet of her face wrapped in gauze and compression bandages as she enjoys a cup of yogurt.

Lowry sat up in she sat up in bed in another snippet explaining her physical limitations during recovery. ‘If there’s a fire, I can’t run,’ she said.
The bandages were removed in the next video, showing what appeared to be a checkup with Dr. Ho to assess the outcome.
Fluid drains were still attached to either side of her neck and the lines drawn on her face were partially visible. Prior to checking in to the hospital Lowry had revealed loose skin on her neck would also be treated.
Post-op treatment also included blue light therapy, which is used to kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, according to The Cleveland Clinic.
The mom of seven, who has had a breast reduction, a tummy tuck, liposuction and a cesarean section in the past said in a separate video uploaded on Monday, ‘nothing in this world compares to the pain that is removing your double chin. This is the most painful thing I’ve ever done in my whole life.’
Expressing some regret she advised, ‘so if you have a double chin, leave it.’

Lowry appeared in a video in her Instagram Stories on Sunday. She said she was using a filter for the video ‘because I still look insane from my surgery’
‘I’m so glad you’re being honest about pain with surgery. I hate seeing these influencers getting stuff done and saying they’re barely taking pain meds only Tylenol just to promote the Dr his or her practice,’ said a grateful fan. who added, ‘Surgery is very painful especially on the face. Praying for fast healing.❤️’
The final photo in the carousel shows Lowry’s post-op face with just a small bandage covering where an incision had been made.
On Sunday, Lowry appeared 12 days post-op in her Instagram Stories, asking for recommendations for TV shows to watch while she continues to recover.
Her face looked much more sculpted than before, but it was unclear how close to reality it was, as she said she added a filter ‘because I still look insane from my surgery.’
Prior to the operation, Lowry opened up about the surgery on her Coffee Convos podcast, telling listeners the issue was hereditary.
‘It’s just skin,’ she said. ‘Cause I asked for it to be lipoed and they were like, “There’s no fat here, it’s just skin.”‘
