Production on Adrian Portelli’s new Channel Seven renovation show, My Reno Rules, has been delayed ahead of its 2026 debut.
Neighbours in the Melbourne suburb of Bulleen were allegedly told by producers their street would be closed off this week so construction for The Block rival series could get underway.
However, it would appear the schedule has now been pushed back to later this year, with some who live nearby the site suggesting ‘something went wrong’.
‘Apparently it’s cancelled or delayed. There’s almost no one working there anymore,’ a source said.
‘It was supposed to start already because they were going to close off the street this week. You could see some builders and staff this week and something is up.’
They went on to claim that another local who lives on the street ‘said it’s not happening until later in the year’.

When Daily Mail approached Adrian, 36, and Seven for comment, a spokesperson confirmed My Reno Rules will start construction later in the year.
However, they did not confirm or deny if the series was off schedule, despite previous reports claiming filming would begin this month.
‘My Reno Rules is still in pre-production phase and construction will commence later this year with the series premiering in 2026,’ they said.
It comes after the show was also lashed by angry neighbours who feared Adrian and his new TV reno show would transform their quiet street into a ‘nightmare’.
One warned the production could cause chaos at school pick-up and drop-off times.
‘I think some neighbours won’t be happy,’ local Ben Holgate told Daily Mail in July.
‘Older people tend to be more easily upset and with school traffic going backwards and forwards—I don’t know how the hell they’re going to cope with that.
‘It could be a nightmare.’
