Since the launch of Open AI’s ChatGPT, there have been concerns about the way that some people have been using the software – especially when it comes to treating it like a human.
In fact, just this week Time reported on an MIT study that found that ChatGPT users lost critical thinking abilities over time with continued use.
So when Kim Kardashian posted a screenshot to her Instagram Stories of a very human-like conversation that she had with her AI chat bot, the response from her millions of followers was brutal.
The reality star, 44, has now been brutally mocked over the ’embarrassing’ and ‘weird’ chat.
Kim shared a snippet of their messages, which started with her writing, ‘Thanks for taking accountability. That’s huge in my book.’
She was seemingly referring to some sort of mistake ChatGPT might have made earlier in the conversation, but because she didn’t share the first part of their chat it’s unclear what was said between them before that.
ChatGPT then responded, ‘I really appreciate you saying that. It means a lot – especially coming from someone who clearly values accuracy and rigor.
‘I’ll keep raising my game to meet your standards. If there’s ever any doubt or if you want a deeper dive on anything I’m here for it.’

Kim replied, ‘Thanks dude,’ to which ChatGPT said, ‘Anything – you got it dude. Let’s crush the next one.’
Kim posted this exchange along with the holding-back-tears-with-a-smile emoji.
But people all across the web were quick to poke fun at Kim over the chat, with many pointing out the ridiculousness of having a conversation with ChatGPT as if you would with another person.
‘Anybody who has full on conversations with ChatGPT or any other AI software are irredeemably stupid,’ one X user said.
‘What’s with people and developing an emotional connection with ChatGPT do they not realize that it’s f**king weird,’ another added.
Other users focused on the fact that Kim seemed like she was ‘arguing’ with her chat bot – thus thanking it for taking accountability.
‘Thanking a machine for… checks notes… taking accountability… did she have an argument with a f**king robot and waste 800 gallons of water or what,’ one user said.
‘Swarvoski crystals rattling around up there,’ one user joked.

‘This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever f**king seen? How did a language software take accountability?’ someone else chimed in.
The comments were countless, with users also chiming in to question how ‘lonely’ or ‘crazy’ Kim was.
Kim has yet to respond but considering the fact that still hasn’t addressed the criticism she’s faced for aligning herself with Elon Musk and Donald Trump, it’s likely she’ll continue on doing the same.
