Tiny beach shack no bigger than a garage which overlooks picturesque Welsh beach dubbed ‘Cheshire by the Sea’ goes on the market for £185,000

A tiny beach shack that’s no bigger than a garage is on the market for a whopping £185,000.

The shack is a simple corrugated hut but overlooks the sandy beach in the village of Abersoch, North Wales – which has been dubbed ‘Cheshire by the Sea’ by locals due to the rise of second homeowning.

Celebrities such as Coleen Rooney and Bear Grylls have been spotted at the seaside resort on the Llyn Peninsula, which is a popular staycation spot.

The hut, which measures just 18ft by 12ft, is on the market for £185,000 which is the same price as homes in nearby villages.

The shack is on sale for around the same price as a house in the local area which has been dubbed 'Cheshire by the sea' and is a popular staycation spot for celebrities

Average house prices in Gwynedd are around £240,000 but there are many properties in the area currently on the market for less than £185,000.

Sellers Beresford Adams said: ‘A rare opportunity to acquire a freehold bathing Hut on the much sought after Abersoch Main Beach.’

They say the hut is ‘positioned midway between the Golf Road slipway and the Yacht Club end of the beach and a few hundred yards from the Beach Cafés and Sailing School’.

They added: ‘The Hut has been in the same family ownership for a number of years being well maintained with corrugated exterior sheeting, double wooden entry doors and a timber balcony. The hut measures 18’x12’.

The front door is also only secured by padlocks and the cramped pad can only fit a small number of beach supplies, such as surfboards and deckchairs

‘A great family location to relax and play on the golden sands and to take in the wonderful views across Cardigan Bay to the St Tudwals Islands with the backdrop of the Cambrian Mountain Range.’

However, the new owner will still be expected to pay council tax.
