A mother and her young son have been rushed to hospital after they were struck by a car.
Emergency services were called to Wollongong Road at Arncliffe, NSW, about 8.45am on Monday after receiving reports a vehicle had collided with pedestrians.
Both the mother, 35, and her eight-year-old son were treated for serious injuries at the scene.
The woman sustained possible injuries to her legs and hips and was taken to St George hospital in a stable condition.
Paramedics believed the young boy sustained injuries to his legs, abdomen, and pelvic region.
Ambulance crews took him to Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick also in a stable condition.
The driver allegedly involved in the incident remained on scene and has been assisting police.
