Khloe Kardashian marked a major milestone for ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson’s disabled brother Amari Thompson over the weekend.
The 18-year-old younger sibling of the NBA star, 34, suffers from a rare form of Epilepsy called Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) and requires full-time care.
Tristan became Amari’s legal guardian when their mom Andrea died of a heart attack in January 2023. The Kardashian-Jenner clan — who featured Amari’s birthday on their Hulu show in April — has similarly welcomed the teen into their everyday lives.
On Saturday Khloe, 40, shared outtakes from Amari’s dance recital, gushing, ‘I am so proud of this young man.’
Via Instagram Stories she posted a video clip of him on stage with his peers and their dance teachers, writing, ‘Amari is so so happy.’

Khloe wore a coordinating sweatsuit as well — hers black — which included a zip-up hoodie.
In an early April episode of The Kardashians, Kris became teary-eyed as Amari suffered a seizure at his 18th birthday party thrown by Khloe.
The festive occasion took a serious turn while while Kris and Khloe were in the middle of a conversation with Amari’s full-time caretakers, Noel Rojas and Alba Flores.
The seizure wasn’t shown on camera, but the ‘momager’ was driven to tears after witnessing the medical emergency for the first time.
Kardashian helped calm her mom down, and later said in a confessional interview, ‘Amari will never be a burden or any of that. Amari is one of the most special souls I have ever met.’

She added, ‘When you meet someone who’s so wonderful, and something so terrible happens to them, you do want to help, you do want to fix it and be there as much as you can, and I think my mom feels the exact same way. She has such a connection to Amari.’
Amid Thompson’s seizures, which Khloe said happen regularly, he was safe in the hands of his around-the-lock medical professionals.
Khloe noted on the show, ‘When Amari’s having a seizure, I know how to stay calm. I’m around Amari a lot, I’ve seen a lot of seizures.
‘He has multiple seizures a day. I know what to do in these situations, but for someone who hasn’t been exposed to that and hasn’t seen that, it can be very scary, and it’s a very helpless feeling.’
She paid tribute to her children’s uncle via Instagram on his birthday last July.
‘Happy 18th Birthday sweet angel Amari!! ‘I can’t believe you are 18! You have changed our lives in the best possible ways! Thank you for being an angel to us all!
‘You are the sweetest, silliest and most loving young man. I hope you feel how much we love and adore you our sweet angel Amari,’ the mother-of-two wrote.
Khloe and Tristan share daughter True, seven, and son Tatum, three. They are co-parents and have not been romantically involved for several years following a tumultuous relationship during which Tristan was caught in multiple cheating scandals.
