Kerry Katona has revealed she is planning to have surgery to fix her nose due to damage after her past drug use.

Taking to Instagram on Friday, the former Atomic Kitten star told her followers that she had visited Pall Mall cosmetics to inquire about getting an eye lift.

However when she was there, the doctor asked her whether she had ever had a nose job, before revealing that internal damage from her past drug use is causing her nose to collapse.

The singer had a tough time battling addiction fifteen years ago and told fans ‘I shouldn’t be here. I should be dead. If it wasn’t for my kids I think I would be.’

Speaking candidly the star, 43, revealed: ‘[The doctor] went, “your nose is collapsing.” So I have damaged my nose from doing drugs.’

‘I was offered to get it fixed years ago, and I said no, because for me it was a reminder never to touch it [drugs] again.

‘So he said, “do you want us to fix it for you? And I started crying because it’s a massive 360 of where I was to where I am now. And I think wow wow wow, Ok I’ll get it fixed.

‘Obviously I don’t do drugs anymore, I’ve turned my life around and I’m very proud of myself. We all make mistakes and I think this is a reward for me but I’m scared!’

Kerry went on to point out that when someone says they are getting their ears pinned back they don’t receive hate, yet other tweakments have led to her receiving lots of negative comments.

She continued: ‘I cried because I’ve done really well for myself and I’m really proud of myself.’

Kerry confessed her cocaine addiction could have ended her life on more than one occasion after she overdosed twice.

The star also reflected on her bankruptcy and divorce, but has now got back on track and has been out of bankruptcy for nearly 10 years.

Kerry previously insisted she doesn’t regret anything she’s done in life despite her well publicised troubles, as she claimed: ‘I’ve not made mistakes, they’ve all been lessons.’

In a candid interview with Nana Akua on GB News back in February, she said: ‘People say do you have any regrets? I have no regrets. I don’t regret the drugs, I don’t regret the bankruptcies, I don’t regret the husbands.

‘I’ve not made any mistakes, they’ve all been lessons and we’re all human. The only thing is all my lessons have all been in the public eye.’

Speaking out about her rocky childhood she continued: ‘I was a product of an affair, I was in four sets of foster parents and refuges.

‘The fact that I’ve achieved what I have achieved is pretty phenomenal. I’m really proud of myself.

‘I’ve been bankrupt twice, I’ve come from nothing, but I’ve gone back to being a millionaire again, not that all that matters. The money in your bank, the size of your house, the cars on your drive, the one thing I’ve realised is that your riches are in the memories you create with your family.

‘That’s one thing I’ve learnt but I am driven by always making sure that my kids are provided for.’
