Katie Price has shared her hopes of reconciling with Peter Andre in order to chat through all their issues.
The glamour model, 46, and singer, 52, were married for four years after falling for each other on national TV during an appearance on I’m A Celebrity in 2004.
The former couple went on to have two children, Junior, 19, and Princess, 17, but announced they were splitting in 2009.
During an appearance on Paul C Brunson’s podcast, We Need To Talk, Katie shared more details about the divorce as she revealed they hadn’t spoken to each other since the split and she wanted to sit down and chat with him.
Revealing that Peter broke up with her because he wrongly believed she had an affair with her dressage rider, she explained: ‘Until this day, me and Pete have never sat down and spoken about it.
‘It’s all through lawyers. I’ve never sat down with him, we probably would’ve sorted it out but we were kept apart.’

Paul then pressed: ‘You’ve not talked to Peter Andre – would you have a chat with him here?’
‘Yeah I would,’ Katie responded, ‘there’d be sparks’.
Paul continued: ‘If we can, we will make that happen because I think it would be incredible to reconcile that – it shouldn’t even be sparks.’
It had long been speculated that Katie and Peter broke up over her close relationship with her dressage rider, Andrew Gould, and she addressed the rumours during the podcast.
She told Paul: We broke up because he thought I was having an affair with my dressage rider, and I’ve never slept with him. I just kept my horse there, and I was happy keeping my horse there, and he was married.
‘But when me and Pete split, because he used to keep saying, “That’s it. I’ve had enough. I’ve had enough”. It got to a point where I went, “Well f***ing divorce me”. And I remember the day, because then I flew to the Maldives with the kids.
‘That day, I’m at the airport, it’s all on Sky News, it wasn’t mutual at all. And then I redone a statement saying I don’t want to split with Pete, it’s Pete that’s splitting with me.’
After they announced their split, Peter said he was ‘gutted’ that Katie had taken their children to the Maldives villa where they had honeymooned in 2005.
He told the Daily Star: ‘Being apart from my kids is just breaking my heart. It’s destroying me – I’m absolutely gutted.’
Katie added that it is ‘the most difficult thing’ to co-parent, saying: ‘But I realised you get to know what people are really like, and I’ve had it tough. But yeah, it is sad.’

The TV personality and her ex-husband were honest about their jealous rows and were regularly seen arguing on their reality show, Katie & Peter.
However, it came as a shock to their huge fanbase when they decided to go their separate ways – and seemingly to Katie, too.
Revealing it wasn’t her choice to split at the time, she said: ‘Pete is the love of my life and my life.
‘We have children together, and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me as I married him for life.
‘This is not what I want, and the decision has been taken out of my hands.
‘I will not comment further or do any interviews regarding the separation, but I will always love my Pete.’
Peter has since moved on and is married to doctor Emily MacDonagh, while Katie is dating Married At First Sight star, JJ Slater.
Katie last year reflected on her turbulent relationship with Peter, admitting it’s ‘sad’ they no longer speak.
Paul then pressed: ‘ You’ve not talked to Peter Andre – would you have a chat with him here?’ ‘Yeah I would,’ Katie responded, ‘there’d be sparks’
Reflecting on their ‘amazing journey’, Katie told The Sun: ‘It was a very crazy place to meet someone and have this love story.
‘No one’s ever been anywhere near as close to me and Pete in there, even when other people have tried [to find love] it just hasn’t happened. There’s only one Pete and Kate.
‘But I’ll tell you what is sad about all of it – we fell in love in the jungle, got married, had kids, had an amazing life but like 20 years on and we don’t even speak. It’s just crazy what happens with time.
‘It was a love story and we were in love but, towards the end, other people got involved in our relationship. That’s all I can say about it.’
