It looks like things are turning around for Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter tour.

After a rocky start that included sluggish ticket sales and technical difficulties, the Los Angeles leg of the tour has earned Bey a record-setting $55.7 million from just five shows.

The Single Ladies hitmaker, 43, played five nights at L.A.’s SoFi Stadium, beginning April 28, with successive performances on May 1, 4, 7, and 9.

According to Billboard, she sold 217,000 tickets and now holds the biggest reported single-venue engagement of 2025 so far, surpassing Shakira and Coldplay.

It’s also the fifth-highest grossing tour stop in Boxscore history, behind two legs of U2’s Sphere residency in Las Vegas, Harry Styles’ 15 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, and eight nights of UK boy band band Take That at Wembley Stadium in London.

For a female artist, it’s the highest-grossing reported single-venue engagement ever by a woman.

It’s a far cry from the weeks leading up to the Cowboy Carter tour, which initially had large sections of unsold seats – which is almost unheard of for a star of Beyonce’s calibre.

At one point, interest in the tour was so low that resale seats in the nosebleed section were going for as cheap as $20.

Some fans later complained that they’d forked out full price for floor seats, only to see tickets slashed considerably right before the tour kicked off due to slow sales.

There were also a number of shocking technical difficulties, most notably on the second night of Bey’s SoFi Stadium run.

Making matters even worse, the first night of the tour saw a number of concertgoers get into a brutal brawl in the VIP section.

So how did Cowboy Carter manage to wrap up its Los Angeles leg with a record-setting Boxscore?

DailyMail.com spoke to attendees at the second and fifth shows at SoFi Stadium, with many confirming that they’d snagged seats just hours before showtime after seeing articles about the ticket prices being cut.

Others said that they were impressed by viral clips of the concert on social media and strong reviews from critics.

The Guardian already awarded the tour five stars out of five, while The New York Times gave it a glowing review too.

DailyMail.com also observed that any technical issues from the second date of the tour had been completely smoothed over by the fifth show.

Celebrity guests have also brought positive publicity to the tour.

The first five shows of Cowboy Carter brought out a slew of A-listers, including Brie Larson, Renee Rapp, Gayle King, Mindy Kaling, and even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Cowboy Carter tour will stop in Chicago next on May 15 for three shows, followed by five shows in New Jersey, six in London, and three shows in France, before heading back to the US for more dates.
