This is the moment two British holidaymakers get into a furious row over a sunbed at a three-star Lanzarote hotel.
A disgruntled woman is seen telling a sunbather that she is going to complain to the manager at the three-star Hyde Park Lane apartments in Lanzarote.
Footage shows the woman, who appears to have a Scottish accent and is wearing a pink cover up, accusing the other Brit of occupying the lounger ‘all week’.
The tourist lying on the sunbed warns her ‘don’t be rude’ and tells her to ‘turn around and walk away’.
Holidaymaker Callum Lines heard the commotion while sunbathing poolside and decided to capture the row on camera.
‘The Scottish lady said they had been using those beds all week, accusing the couple lying down and moving their items,’ Lines, 31, said.
‘Just to the left, out of shot, was a sign stating no reservation of sunbeds. I’m not sure this was the case though’.
The witness, from Leamington Spa, said the Scottish woman then left to hunt down hotel management – but they never showed up.
‘I’ve always got two pence to share even when it’s probably not required, but you come away for a rest and some relaxation,’ he said.
‘There were plenty more available beds – all with equal sun exposure – so this really wasn’t needed.’
Lines claimed he even got an earful from the furious woman himself.
In the video the angry woman claimed she had been there all week and said she now had to relocate.
Lines chipped in: ‘Excuse me is there somebody underneath you? Are you sat on someone?’
The sunbathing woman said: ‘Get your facts right before you start accusing people.’
But the woman piped back: ‘That’s what I said to you,’ before the woman on the bed replied: ‘Don’t be rude, turn around and walk away.’
The sunbather’s poolside rival said she was not being rude, and Lines told the fuming woman to ‘get out her face then’.
The bikini clad sunbather continued: ‘Turn around and walk away,’ but the Karen insisted she, and what appears to be her family or friends, had been sitting in that spot all week.
‘They’ve had to move,’ she said, but the woman responded: ‘I don’t care.’
The man laying beside her pipped up and told the woman to ‘go away,’ and Lines reassured him that the fiasco was being filmed.
The Karen then said: ‘Sitting here and you say you didn’t move and take their stuff away,’ but the woman on the sunbed quickly fired back: ‘But why ain’t they got their names on them then.
‘You come over here rude, turn around and walk away. You’ve picked on the wrong person, turn around and walk away now.’
The angry lady told the sunbathers she was going to report them to management before Lines yelled out and called her a ‘Karen’.
She then turned on him and said: ‘Don’t be cheeky, don’t be smart mouthed either.
‘You don’t know who you’re talking to and you don’t know who we’re here with.
Lines quipped: ‘Ronnie Pickering?’ But she said: ‘Just keep your f******g mouth shut.’
One woman wearing a black cap and bikini could be seen gesturing to the ‘Karen’ to walk away.
The pair went back and forth as the woman in pink claimed someone had moved their beds.
It comes after holidaymakers in Tenerife were caught using a trick to reserve sunbeds which social media users branded ‘pathetic’.
In a Tiktok clip, dozens of sun worshippers were seen waiting by the empty pool area at a hotel in Playa de las Américas during the early hours of the morning.
The guests appeared to be standing still in designated spots in a bid to ‘reserve’ a space for one of the sunbeds being unloaded onto the area.
One holidaymaker could even be seen reading his book as he stood in position, before swiftly turning his attention to the loungers as the hotel employees began distributing them out.
In the comments, over 130 viewers, many of whom appeared to identify as British, rallied together to condemn the ‘miserable’ move.
One person wrote, ‘Pathetic really. F*****g grown ups,’ while another said, ‘This isn’t what going on holiday is about… misery.’
