One of ‘s richest men, Anthony Pratt, turned more than a few heads when he stepped out for the Met Gala in New York on Monday.

The billionaire cardboard box magnate, 65, recently relocated from to the US. 

On an occasion where bold statements are de rigueur, the Visy boss was definitely keen to make an impression.

Wearing his commitment to recycling and sustainability on his sleeve, Anthony stepped out in a message-laden suit.

The colourful green, gold and white number was festooned with the recycling symbol and the words ‘Pratt 100% recycled’.

Anthony also wore a dark green collared shirt that came complete with the same message, as well as a matching tie.

Finishing his eye-catching outfit, Anthony adorned his head with a moss green felt bowler hat.

Adding a curveball to the mix, the billionaire finished his quirky look with a pair of multicoloured Brooks running shoes.

Anthony accessorised with a wooden cane to complete the bizarre ensemble.

The businessman looked over the moon to be getting his recycling message out to the haute couture elite at the glittering event.

Beaming broadly as he posed, Anthony was not afraid to flaunt his unique sense of sartorial style. 

His Met gala outing comes after the Visy chairman announced it was investing over $2billion to transform its recycling and remanufacturing initiatives. 

The announcement came just after his 2024 Met Gala appearance that saw him step out in a bright pink overcoat pushing the same recycling message.

He revealed in November he had permanently relocated to the US.     

He said on Linkedin at the time that since the early 1990s his company, known as Visy in and New Zealand and Pratt Industries in the US, has built a significant footprint in America by investing in 70 factories and creating 12,000 jobs.

‘We decided it was time to live in America because my family are all US citizens,’ he said.

‘I will remain Chairman of Visy , and will be returning to on a regular basis.’

Anthony was a vocal supporter of Trump during his previous presidency, praising him on what was formerly Twitter and taking out full page ads in the Wall Street Journal.

In 2017, he became a member of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida for a reported near half-a-million dollar joining fee, which saw the two become friends.

‘The key thing about being a member,’ he told an n function, according to The n Jewish News.

‘Is that I see President Trump two or three times a year, and each time I would tell him about our manufacturing business.

Despite his friendship with the US President, in 2023, Donald Trump famously branded Anthony as ‘a red headed weirdo’.

The call came after claims the President discussed sensitive details about America’s nuclear submarines and his private calls with leaders of Ukraine and Iraq with the business magnate.

Despite now calling the US home, according to the Forbes 2025 Rich List, Anthony is the eighth wealthiest person in having amassed an estimated fortune of $8.7billion.
