South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace got into a vicious argument with a man wearing ‘Daisy Dukes’ at an Ulta store after he asked her a question.
The 47-year-old pulled out her phone inside the Charleston store, recorded the unnamed man in the middle of the skin care aisle and accused him of ‘harassing’ her after he asked if she was going to host any more town hall meetings this year.
The man – dressed in green shorts, a white button down and white sneakers – also recorded Mace as he seemed very calm and polite in the beginning, but his tone quickly changed as they continued to interact.
‘I do them every year,’ Mace said of the town halls. ‘Want to keep going?’
He then replied, ‘I’m asking if you’re going to have any more town halls this year!’
‘Do you wanna keep going and keep harassing me? You could have gone to a dozen town halls last year…,’ she told him in the video she posted to X on Saturday evening.
‘I asked if you’re doing any more this year. It was one simple question,’ he quipped.
‘Yeah, I’ve already done one, I’ll do plenty more,’ the Republican replied.
‘You’re always invited,’ she added in a friendly tone – but that’s when their interaction went completely off the rails.
While smiling and telling Mace he would look out for ‘an actual invitation’ to her townhall meeting, the GOP Rep. cut him off and said: ‘And by the way, I voted for gay marriage twice.’
The man, seemingly confused by her statement, looked around the store in shock before asking her: ‘What does that have to do with me?’
‘I’m just saying. It has everything to do with you,’ Mace, dressed in blue skinny jeans, a denim top and heels, told him.
He inched a bit closer to her and said: ‘You think everything about me has to do with gay marriage?’
‘I do,’ she replied as the man questioned: ‘That’s your first stance when you speak with me? There’s no other humane conversation you can have about me?’
‘You wanna get in my face about town halls, you should’ve shown up to one last year,’ Mace said as the man stood feet away from her.
Appearing to ignore her previous statement to him, the man continued: ‘There is no other humane thing you can talk about me then say, “Oh, I support gay marriage”?’
‘Uh-huh, yeah, because you’re getting in my face about a town hall you could have gone to last year. Would you like me -,’ she said as the bearded man repeated the first question he asked her.
‘All I did was ask you one simple question from right over here is if you have any plans to have more town halls. That was one question,’ he stated.
‘I have over a dozen every year,’ Mace told him as he smiled and responded: ‘Great! That was my entire question.’
‘You didn’t have to go into this spiel about everything else,’ he added, as Mace, again, cut him off.
‘You could have come to any of them last year. I had over a dozen,’ she said.
He then clarified: ‘And I’m asking you about this year, not 2024.’
‘Where were you the year before that? Or the year before that?,’ Mace said as the pair started to speak over each other.
While he was busy explaining the ‘simple question’ he initially asked her, Mace went on a tangent about people on the left being ‘crazy.’
‘Because you people on the left are crazy. You’re absolutely f***ing crazy,’ she told him.
‘I’m absolutely f***ing crazy?,’ the man asked as he started chuckling and walking off.
‘And get out of my face! Goodbye,’ Mace said as the male shopper said: ‘You’re insane.’
‘F*** you!,’ the politician shouted at him as he came back and replied: ‘F*** me? And you’re gonna be voted out so fast this year. I can’t wait for you to f***ing go into the dirt.’
‘I’m not, I’m not! I won by so much,’ she shouted at him.
‘You’re a disgrace to this state. That’s what you are. You’re a disgrace. I asked you a simple question and you just go on this tirade and tell me f*** you? Disgusting,’ he told her.
‘Yeah, f*** you! Get out of my face,’ she responded as the pair went back and forth cursing at each other while an Ulta employee stared at them in confusion.
The worker then walked in the opposite direction as Mace asked him: ‘What’s your name?’
He then replied: ‘You’re a nasty b****, that’s my name. You say f*** me? That’s the first thing you’re gonna say to me for asking you a question?’
‘Absolutely, get the f*** out of my face… now,’ Mace told him as the pair exchanged more curse words before the video ended.
Mace, clearly left enraged by the interaction she had with the unnamed man, called him a ‘lunatic’ in her caption.
‘Some unhinged lunatic, a man, wearing daisy dukes, at a makeup store, got in my face today,’ she wrote.
‘Dems are nuts. So I went off – and I won’t be backing down. I hold the line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Try me.’
She then posted under the video: ‘I just wanted some face wash on my afternoon off lol.’
Mace was recently slammed for skipping a town hall held by the Lowcountry Accountability Alliance in the state in March.
In a post to X about her absence, Mace said: ‘This is FAKE NEWS. This event is being driven by left-wing extremists and paid agitators with a clear agenda.
‘I WILL NOT be attending. We’re staying away because it’s not safe, and we refuse to be bullied by individuals who are threatening me, my employees, and my family.’
She hosted her first town hall of the year on April 8 over the phone and only announced it was happening on X when it began.
Just a day before she held that event, she posted a video of herself talking about the ‘deranged town hall fakers’ who made ‘BS calls’ to her office about her bailing on the town hall last month.
‘Do something nice for somebody in the Lowcountry. Stop being this way. Stop being violent with your words. Stop being ugly and hateful,’ Mace added.
