A New Jersey hairstylist allegedly asked a man she met on Tinder to kill her cop ex-boyfriend and his teenage daughter.

Jaclyn Diiorio, 26, was arrested last week after her Tinder match reported she offered him $12,000 to kill the unidentified 53-year-old Philadelphia police officer and his 19-year-old daughter, according to NBC Philadelphia.

Prosecutors say Diiorio had matched with the confidential informant on the dating app, and the two exchanged several phone calls and text messages between March 31 and April 3.

Originally, Diiorio and the informant intended to date, Camden County Prosecutor Grace MacAulay said at a news conference on Tuesday.

But at some point during their conversations, Diiorio mentioned that she wished her ex-boyfriend were dead – and noted he was a Philadelphia cop.

By Friday, the informant decided to report the murder-for-hire plot to county prosecutors, who had detectives call Philadelphia police to make them and the target aware.

‘The informant advised that Diiorio has been adamant about killing her ex-boyfriend,’ a probable cause statement obtained by NBC Philadelphia says.

At that point, officers interviewed the Philly cop, who said he and Diiorio first met when she was his barber and broke up on March 6. They had dated for about a year, Macaulay said, according to CBS News.

At some point their relationship seemed to have become volatile, as Diiorio filed a temporary restraining order against the cop in the summer of 2024, which she later dropped.

After speaking with the cop, officers had the informant meet with Diiorio at a Dollar General store in Glendora, where she allegedly handed him more than $500 in cash as a down payment for the killings – and said she would pay the rest in installments once the double homicide was complete.

But as soon as the money exchanged hands, officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department Special Response Team swarmed Diiorio and took her into custody.

During the arrest, officers also found an unlabeled bottle of pills – which was suspected to be alprazolam, often prescribed to treat anxiety.

Diiorio is now charged with two counts of first degree attempted murder, once count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder and one count of third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

She is now due to appear in court for a detention hearing on Friday.
