Nigel Harman has broken his silence after he ‘stormed out’ of the Strictly Come Dancing studio after receiving a disappointing score for his performance on Saturday evening.

The actor-turned-meditation coach, 50, is known for spreading awareness on wellbeing and mental health as he shares his knowledge with his 80.9K followers.

And on Monday he kicked off the week with an emotional post as he ‘continued’ his focus on meditation for the upcoming week.

The EastEnders star shared a snap of him in a navy coat and green T-shirt, as he looked up – but it was its caption to truly capture the attention.

‘We are continuing our focus on emotions this week. Today’s meditation explores how practising gratitude regularly can help cultivate a more positive mindset and increase feelings of well-being and contentment,’ he penned.

‘Let’s find a comfortable position…..closing the eyes or lowering the gaze….. Allowing yourself to settle and taking a full breath; in for five, then out for five.’

He continued the lengthy caption: ‘Do this a couple of times and when you are ready filling the body with a half-smile of kindness.Imagining a warm, glowing feeling in the chest, growing through the belly and down to your feet, radiating throughout the body.

‘Ask yourself, “What am I grateful for today?” Don’t overthink it, it doesn’t need to be deep, it can be family, friends, or a favourite walk or mug. Just something that brings a little smile or comfort. Bring this image or person to mind and notice how it feels in the body, using a curious, kind attention.’

‘Allowing this positive feeling of gratitude to fill the entire being. And when you’re ready, opening the eyes. Trying to think about all the things you are grateful for can help bring awareness as you go through the day,’ Nigel went on.

‘Don’t worry if you find this hard initially, asking the question is a good start. Over time you will notice there are things to be grateful for everywhere.’

‘I encourage you to share below, our gratitude can spread through this chat and out into the world,’ he finished.

Angela was the eighth celebrity to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2023 following Sunday’s dreaded dance off.

The results show on Sunday night was bursting at the seams with glitz and glamour, the evening was opened by our professional dancers turning the Ballroom purple with a memorable routine to a Harry Styles medley.

Plus a performance from Madness singing their new song ‘C’est La Vie’ with a beautiful dance from Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Jowita Przystał, Gorka Márquez, Michelle Tsiakkas and Neil Jones.

It comes after Nigel gushed over the ‘joyful hours’ he and dance partner Katya spend together ‘laughing a lot’ as they rehearse for the BBC show.

Speaking about their bond, Nigel said: ‘I love working with Kats, she is so intuitive as a teacher, choreographer and person, we spend hours together and it’s joyful, we laugh a lot, and we get a lot of things done.

‘She’s making me into a better dancer, I don’t know how she’s doing it but she is.

‘Do I find her strict? I don’t think I do, no. Sometimes I need a bit of discipline because if you’re not careful I’ll start rambling about anything just to distract her, so I don’t have to dance.’

Nigel has revealed that his wife Lucy and his daughter, whose name and age is unknown, have been supportive throughout, even joining him in the training room each week to get a sneak peek of their performance.

He said: ‘My family are really enjoying it, they come to the rehearsal room every Wednesday after school and they watch us dance, they bought the dog this week, it’s one of the loveliest things and a gift about this show is how much you can involve your family and how they can come along and support.

‘They send me out with a packed lunch every day. My daughter the other day made me a smoothie to put in the fridge before she went to bed because she was worried, she wouldn’t be awake by the time I had to leave. It’s those moments I cherish.’

After weeks of intense dance training, the actor admits he is seeing changes in his body, and he’s gone from fearing aches and pains to embracing the physical challenge.
