Sickening new details have emerged detailing how a transgender man was tortured before he was murdered.
Sam Nordquist, 24, was allegedly sexually abused, forced to eat feces, drink urine and ‘chew spit’ for weeks before he was ultimately killed in a case that has disturbed seasoned investigators.
Seven people have been accused of first-degree murder and kidnapping as prosecutors told a New York court on Wednesday that two children, aged seven and 12, were also forced to assault the victim.
Assistant District Attorney Kelly Wolford said what had been unearthed in the investigation was ‘heartbreaking’ and ‘troubling.’
‘To have two children have to participate in the beating of another human being, it’s deeply disturbing,’ she said.
‘Sam was confined. He was forced to kneel and stand against a wall. He was physically assaulted. He was sexually assaulted.
‘He was prevented from using his phone. He was denied proper nutrition and hydration. He was fed feces. He was forced to drink urine and chew spit.’
She went on to detail how Nordquist was ‘physically restrained, forced to obey their commands and treated like a dog.’

‘They covered his face with towels and shirts and fabric. They used duct tape and they poured bleach on him.’
The seven defendants are Precious Arzuaga, 38; Kyle Sage, 33; Jennifer Quijano, 30; Patrick Goodwin, 30; Kimberly Sochia, 29; Thomas G. Eaves, 21; and Emily Motyka, 19.

Police allege that from January 1 to February 2, Nordquist was kept in confinement, where he was beaten, sexually assaulted, starved and subjected to depraved acts.
The torture ultimately caused his death, investigators alleged.
Arzuaga has also been charged with first-degree coercion for forcing the children to participate in the heinous acts.
The relationship between Arzuaga and the children was not made clear.

Prosecutors must prove that all seven defendants participated in the torturous acts ‘and they did so because they enjoyed it,’ Wolford revealed.
If the offenses were committed before 2004, they would have been eligible to receive the death penalty, but that punishment has since been abolished in New York.
Nordquist’s body was removed from the motel sometime after his death, wrapped in plastic bags and dumped on the side of the road.
His remains were discovered by police on February 12.
Six of the seven defendants have been charged with concealment of a human corpse. Four have been charged with aggravated sexual abuse.
New York State Police captain Kelly Swift said: ‘In my 20-year law enforcement career, this is one of the most horrific crimes I have ever investigated.’
