Ellie Goulding looked like a Grecian goddess on Sunday night as she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center.

The prestigious bash, which takes place in Beverly Hills, is a celebration of the Academy Awards and attracts many of the biggest names in Hollywood.

The singer, 38, made sure she pulled out all the stops for the occasion, arriving in a draped silver gown, made of a shimmering mesh material.

Her off-the-shoulder number boasted a flowing skirt and small train, while the fitted bodice flashed a glimpse of her cleavage and was adorned with bow detailing on the sleeves.

Ellie added even more sparkle to her dazzling look with a number of diamond rings and matching earrings.

The Love Me Like You Do hitmaker wore her blonde hair sleek and straight and sported a full face of radiant makeup and was seen laughing with fellow pop star Katy Perry.

She is currently thought to be single, following her recent split from surf instructor ex-boyfriend Armando Perez.

Ellie and Armando – who is eight years her junior – struck up a romance when he gave her surfing lessons as she rang in the New Year in Costa Rica.

However friends of the pair told in October 2024 that their relationship had run its course.

One said: ‘Amando and Ellie were very attracted to one another. Despite the age gap, they struck up an instant chemistry when he gave her private surfing lessons.

‘They soon formed a bond and loved spending time together – Ellie loved hanging out on the beach with Armando to get away from everything that was going on back home after her marriage had come to an end.’

‘Armando was used to spending his days instructing in the water and running around barefoot in swim shorts, and was more comfortable enjoying his “quiet life” without the “drama” of being in the public eye,’ the source added.

‘They had a very special time together and she visited the country a lot. But they are from very different backgrounds.’

They added: ‘She is a big pop star from England while Armando’s whole life is based here in Playa Hermosa. He loves it here and I doubt he would have any plans to leave.

This year’s Academy Awards saw Anora dominate the night with five wins including Best Picture and Best Actress for Mikey Madison.

Anora’s writer and director Sean Baker earned three awards including: Best Original Screenplay, Achievement in Film Editing, and the coveted Best Director.

Mikey portrays an escort in Anora, an independent film with a $6 million budget and recognized the sex worker community in a touching acceptance speech.

She said: ‘I also just want to, again, recognize and honor the sex worker community. I will. Yes. I will continue to support and be an ally.

‘All of the incredible people, the women that I’ve had the privilege of meeting from that community has been one of the highlights of this incredible experience.’

At the end of the night the film earned top prize Best Picture Award over The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, I’m Still Here, Nickel Boys, The Substance, and Wicked.

Demi Moore was left crushed as Mikey beat her to the coveted Best Actress award, after being an early frontrunner.

She could be seen with a clenched jaw as her name wasn’t called, but she did say ‘nice’ to herself as she applauded the 25-year-old rising star’s big win.

Other big winners on Sunday night included Zoe Saldana, who took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in the controversial Emilia Perez, and Kieran Culkin, who kicked off the evening with a Best Supporting Actor win for A Real Pain.

Adrien Brody scored the Best Actor award with his performance in the The Brutalist, making his second win the category, and stopped the exit music from playing as he gave a lengthy speech.

He beat out an impressive field including: Timothée Chalamet — A Complete Unknown, Colman Domingo — Sing Sing, Ralph Fiennes — Conclave, and Sebastian Stan — The Apprentice.

Adrian previously won Best Actor for his work on classic film The Piano back in 2003.

Zoe shook off the controversy surrounding her film Emilia Pérez as she earned Best Supporting Actress.

The show hit a high note as the 46-year-old American actress was crowned for the Netflix film.

She triumphed over: Monica Barbaro — A Complete Unknown, Ariana Grande — Wicked, Felicity Jones — The Brutalist, and Isabella Rossellini — Conclave.

Zoe became the first ever Oscar winner of Dominican descent  and made sure to thank her ancestors for paving the way to have a successful acting career in America.

Emilia Pérez has earned a tide of negative publicity after racist and Islamophobic tweets from her costar Karla Sofía Gascón — some quite recent — were discovered.

Netflix went so far as to stop covering Gascón’s travel for awards shows, but she did appear at the Oscars.

The award show started out in fine form as Kieran, 42, took home the first award of the night for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in A Real Pain.

He beat out an impressive field including: Yura Borisov — Anora, Edward Norton — A Complete Unknown, Guy Pearce — The Brutalist, and his Succession co-star Jeremy Strong — The Apprentice.

Blockbuster Wicked did not come away empty handed as Paul Tazewell became the first Black male winner of Achievement in Costume Design.
