Devastated Jennifer Lopez was spotted Wednesday in her first public sighting since her friend and hairstylist Jesus Guerrero died aged 34.
Guerrero’s sister Gris announced over the weekend that she had lost her brother ‘very suddenly and unexpectedly’ on Saturday.
Shortly before his death, Guerrero traveled to Dubai to work with Lopez there – and Gris has since revealed that the pop star attempted to save his life.
The grief-stricken singer herself issued an emotional statement on her Instagram page Tuesday, fondly remembering Guerrero and calling his demise ‘senseless and unfair.’
When she surfaced in Los Angeles this week, Lopez, 55, cut a somber figure in a muted ensemble of a white sweater and eggshell slacks.
Her hair was swept up into a casual do, and she appeared downcast as she sat in her car and then emerged from the vehicle.

‘We are getting some help, but it is a waiting game for everyone to do what they can to get answers,’ she said of her plans to lay her brother to rest as his cause of death remains a mystery to their family.
‘We have been able to track every one of his steps, but we don’t know what got him sick or what was [the] sickness,’ she said. ‘It all happened suddenly and no one knows why.’
While he was hospitalized in Los Angeles at the time of his passing, Jesus had recently joined Lopez on a business trip to Dubai.
‘Everyone on his team did everything they could to get him to the doctors because he was not well,’ Gris said. ‘They told him he was not going to work, he should see a doctor and rest. And he wanted to come home.’
Upon touching down in Dubai, Gris said Jesus was told he didn’t ‘look well’ and ‘to sit down and rest’ and ‘if he didn’t get well, to go back to the hospital.’
She stressed that he was told to ‘take care’ of himself and ended up going to a doctor in Dubai.

Following his death, Gris said Lopez ‘talked’ her ‘through everything that she could, along with others that were there.’
‘I am very grateful for everything she did [for him],’ Gris said. ‘[And telling him] to go to the doctor and not to work and to get rest.’
On Tuesday, Lopez broke her silence over Guerrero’s passing in an emotional Instagram post, in which she declared his loss as ‘senseless and unfair.’
‘It’s no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesus. You were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful, and your presence was felt the minute you walked into any room,’ the superstar wrote in her tribute.
She continued: ‘You never demanded the spotlight. You never needed to make a sound to be recognized, your heart and your talent did that as effortlessly as your artistry did.’
The mother-of-two said she was ‘having trouble putting together the last few days.’
‘The truth is I’m still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end. It seems senseless and unfair. I know your family is brokenhearted as am I and everyone else who knew you. Your spirit moved on to the next phase beyond this life but I know wherever you are there is beauty and light,’ she concluded.
Lopez had tagged her glam team last Wednesday – February 19th – while on a business trip to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
She tagged her hair, makeup and nails glam team – with Jesus tagged – as he did her hair during the trip.
Lopez performed at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on February 18 and then Thursday, February 20 at Saadiyat Nights in Abu Dhabi but it is unknown if he did her hair for those nights.

Jesus died one day later ‘suddenly and unexpectedly,’ according to his sister Gris.
‘It is with a heavy heart that we let the world know that Jesus Guerrero has gone to heaven. He is a son, a brother, an uncle, an artist, a friend, and so much more,’ his sister Gris wrote in his GoFundMe.
‘Born and raised in Houston, TX to immigrant parents, Jesus learned how to work hard and dreamt of taking his stills to the top. Unfortunately, his passing came very suddenly and unexpectedly. Currently, his family is taking care of his personal belongings and accommodations to bring him home to Houston. We hope that you find it in your heart to help in any way and/or shared this GoFundMe,’ she wrote.
His sister shared two updates on Tuesday on the GoFundMe, revealing that his client, Kylie Jenner, offered to cover his funeral expenses as well as her ‘help and support.’
Gris wrote: ‘When this go fund me was set up we created it thinking we would have to take care of all the expenses ourselves. We didn’t want to burden any clients with this. Our family deeply appreciates Kylie for later offering to cover funeral expenses and offering up all her help and support.’

‘Donations raised through this fundraiser will go toward the costs associated with securing his belongings home. As well as other unexpected expenses to settle his assets.’
‘With his death being so unexpected there are many things that weren’t set up for time like this. The next several months will have many hoops we will have to jump through to ensure we honor him in the best way we can. Our mother will be taking time off to ensure that everything gets taken care of and so that she can greave properly because a mother should never have to buy her child. We truly appreciate everyone’s support. Thank you.’
The GoFundMe is now closed, and raised $96,000.
Hours before, Kylie shared a statement about Jesus via her Instagram page.
